When Eileen�s prescriptions ran out, she took the streets to get her fix!

Still in an emotional tailspin over the death of her beloved husband Dave, Eileen sought help from Dorian, who prescribed her a very strong tranquilizer. As time went on, Eileen began to pop the pills like candy and fell into an addiction. When it became noticeable just how codependent she had become to the medication, no one at Llanview Hospital would renew it after her prescription ran out.

After overhearing a conversation between Eileen and Wanda, in which Eileen appeared desperate for more pills, a twelve year old street kid named Joshua West and his nefarious friend, �Hubcap,� offered to supply her with more of what she craved. Eileen took the boys up on their offer and soon was getting her fix from the streets. Hubcap noticed how financially �well-off� she was and decided to deliver her the strongest supply he could get his hands on, in an attempt to get her hooked quicker�thus coming back more frequently.

Though she attempted to shield what she was doing from her loved ones, Eileen�s addiction made her behavior became so erratic that everyone began to probe and slowly figure out what was going on. Julie was mortified to discover the truth, and begged her mother to stop. After reluctantly agreeing, Eileen tried to keep her promise to Julie, opting to douse herself in alcohol instead. Hubcap, however, deviously delivered another shipment. Unable to resist, Eileen wound up overdosing from a dangerous mix of liquor and pills.
