TRAINING TIPS FOR LLAMAS TAEKWON-DO

SEVEN TRAINING SECRETS OF TAEKWON-DO

1.       To study the theory of power thoroughly

2.       To understand the purpose and method of each movement clearly

3.       To bring the movement of eyes, hands, feet and breath into a single coordinated action

4.       To chose the appropriate attacking tool for each vital spot

5.       To become familiar with the correct angle and distance for attack and defense

6.       Keep both arms and legs bent slightly while the movement is in motion

7.     To exhale briefly at the moment of each blow except a connecting motion

9 GUIDELINES OF THE PHILOSOPHY OF TAEKWON-DO

1.       Be willing to do where the going may be tough and do the things that are worth doing even though they are difficult.

2.       Be gentle to the weak and tough to the strong.

3.       Be content with what you have in money and position but never in skills.

4.       Always finish what you begin, be it large or small.

5.       Be a willing teacher to anyone regardless of religion, race, or ideology.

6.       Never yield to repression or threat in the pursuit of a noble cause.

7.       Teach attitude and skill with action rather than words.

8.       Always be your-self even though the circumstances may change.

9.       Be the eternal teacher who teaches with body when young, with words when old, and by moral precept even after death.

2.       Allows the Instructor to continue teaching while providing a resting period for the students

3.       It guarantees a martial art that is fully understood by all, rather than an esoteric art that can only be understood by a select few.

4.       Adults with longer attention spans will tend to get more out of this type of training

5.       There is less fatigue involved with this type of training

6.       Rational Based Training allows for a more open communication venue involving instruction, inquiries, and feedback.

8.       Finally it prepares the Instructor for public speaking which is vital to performance at any demonstrations designed to promote your school
