| There's a little boy outside my window. Picking yellow leaves off of a tree. Smelling them. Throwing them Picking more. He walkes around the tree, Looking at it. He tries to climb it. It's not a climbing tree. He leans against it. Puts his foot on it. His dad stands fifty feet away. Taking pictures of his son. He walks to the little boy, Picks him up. Now he can climb the tree. I'd like to see the pictures. The little brother, Not old enough to walk, Stands by his mom's legs, Climbing around them. Dad steps back for more pictures. He lifts his arms up, Wants to be picked up. Dad helps the older brother Out of the tree. He runs down the hill, Laughing. They walk off together. Mom chasing son. Dad walking casually behind. I wonder how the pictures will turn out. |
