| Welcome back, this is TRL. Im here with the next big star of music, Michael Draven, Carson Daley narrated into his microphone over the screams of the audience filled with teenage girls. Hey, Michael waved to the crowd. Emily was near the group, but off to the side behind the cameras. So, Michael, when does your CD come out? Tomorrow. I hope everyone here get a copy. Im very proud of it. he flashed a smile to the audience and the girls went wild. What are you going to perform for us today? Carson asked Michael as he walked over to his guitar and a microphone on the stage. Im gonna be singing my single Everything Thing To Me. The girls screamed and the lights changed as Michael strummed the first notes on his guitar. He put his lips up to the mic, closed his eyes and crooned steadily the beginning to his hit song. Your lips, your eyes, your laughs, you everything, everything yeah. He played his guitar faster and the drums and bass joined in from the band behind him. The audience swayed to the beat and Emily smiled. She was so proud of him. He had worked so hard to get here. Her mind drifted back to a time a few years ago Emily and Michael sat on her couch watching MTV. TRL came o and Michael set the remote down and sat up. Im gonna be on there some day, he said pointing to the screen. Yeah, ok, Mike, Emily joked He was right. Your everything, everything to me, and I love yoooou. Michael held the last note in to the audiences applause. Emily clapped until her palms were sore. Everyone loved him. Everyone. ~xxx~ |

| Thats a wrap! yelled the director. Everyone stopped and clapped with joy. 3 days of early mornings and late nights were over. Great job! Emily exclaimed as she wrapped her arms around Michael. The video for Everything To Me was finally done. Lets go out to celebrate the great finish, suggested Michael, looking down at Emily. She wasnt all that smaller then he was, but enough for him to look down a little. Ok, where to? Do ya wanna go to that pizza place? Michael asked. How bout we do a carry-out and bring it back to my place we dont want to be bothered every two seconds during our meal. Ill order now on my cell and Ill get out and get it. You wait in the car. Sounds great. Oh, I gotta show you my web site. Its great! Ill soon be a 3000 hits! Michael always got so excited and proud of things he did. He stayed a child in that area, along with a few others. : ) Emily walked away gabbed on her cell phone ordering the pizza. She very seldom used it. She used it like her parents wanted her to, emergencies only. She started using it more when she moved out and paid for it herself, but not much more. Michael loved it when Emily talked on her phone. She always looked so smart soperfect. Pizza ordered. Ready to go? Emily blurted, breaking Michaels trance. Oh, yeah. They hopped in his car, otherwise known as Lucy and drove down to the pizza place. Emily jumped out and ducked into the building. By now it had started drizzling and started to pour. Emily ran back to the car, pizza box in hand. Wow, did it start raining fast. She pulled her hair back, splattering Michael with little droplets of fresh rain. While Emily wasnt looking, he smiled. He didnt know why, but he couldnt help it. He turned away before she noticed. They drove back to his apartment in silence because Emily watched the rain. She had always done it since he could remember. She would just stay very still and quiet and watch the rain fall. The rain subsided and Emily broke her gaze to turn on the radio. She flipped and flipped the station knob till she found her favorite station, WKQX 92.9 FM, an alternative rock station. It played some of her favorite bands like Nine Inch Nails, Smashing Pumpkins, etc. You could play any first note of most bands, especially the two above, and she could tell you 1) the artist, 2) CD title, 3) year, 4) track number, and 5) a useless fact about the song or band. She was just as passionate about music as he was, if not more. When they were still in high school, she had played the electric bass guitar very well. She started because of her idol, Darcy Wretzky of the Smashing Pumpkins. Now she didnt play as often, but when she did it was magic. He never figured it out why. The commercials ended and music filled the air. His music. Your lips, your eyes, your laughs, your everything, everything yeah AHHHHHh, your song!! Emily screamed. WOOOO-HOOOO!!! Michael yelled out the car window. Minutes later, the song ended and Michael was floored. He had just realized he had never really heard himself play before. A first time for everything ~xxx~ |
