| purposes or just personnel enjoyment, you can save a bundle by buying unregistered animals. All of my animals come from the same farms as the show champions, and have the same champion bloodlines. But these just didn't make it to the competition. However, they are all outstanding creatures with extremely valuable fleece. Take some time to browse through our photos. The alpaca, llama, and sheep pictures were taken four months after sheering. You can see the difference in the Huacuya and Suri fleece by looking at the fiber photos. Huacayas have a puffy, teddybear like feel, while Suris have fiber that hangs down in crimpy, silken locks. Both are very valuable and in demand. The fiber holds dye well and is extremely durable. In fact, it is said that a blanket made of alpaca fiber is fine enough to pass through a wedding band. So, whether your an spinner or an animal lover, I hope you enjoy our site. If you have any questions or concerns please email me and I'll get back to you as soon as possible. |

| At D and D Alpacas, we specialize in alpacas raised for their outstanding fiber and for gorgeous, intelligent pets. Along with our Suri and Huacaya alpacas we are also home to several llamas, a small herd of Shetland sheep and Suffolk/Dorset sheep, a few miniature horses, and three very spoiled dogs. Our dogs are not for sale but we do have some great alpaca fiber and sheep wool that can be purchased by the pound. |
