If a faerie or other little person has visited your house and you found after a few days it was unfriendly you have to discouage it to leave.

Here are a few ways to send their little selves on their merry little way:
Do not accept the first thing a fearie offers you or you will be indebted to that faerie.
Be sure to get the last word in any verbal exchange. This will ensure that you are in charge, particularly if you can make the parting words ryhme.
If you think that faeries are "cating a glamour" over you, which is making you see things or leading you astray, all you have to do is turn your hat or coat inside out. To prevent it from happening in the first place carry a four leaf clover.
The following plants offer protection from unfriendly faeries:
St.-Johns-wort
Daisies (particularly when worn as bracelet or necklace)
A twig each of oak, ash and hawthorn tied in a cross with a red thread and hung on your front door
An acorn carried in your pocket
Faeries hate salt, so sprinkle some around your house to keep them out. Also, stranglely if you place a sock under your bed it will also keep them away.
How to "lay" a faerie:
"Laying" a faerie is simply just encouaging a faerie to leave your house, same as above, but this is an acutal ritual.
One of the first things you will want to do is make a suit of little clothes and leave them out at night. No one acually knows the reason why this make them leave, one reason is that it offends them, and the other is that it makes them feel so proud and they think they are too good for humans and they leave.
Another thing to do, of the other did not work is to sprinkle poppy seeds or rice around your house, they will feel compelled to pick them up, after a while they will get tired of picking them up and they will leave.
If this is a very stubborn faerie try ringing bells and clapping very loudly, they despise noise.
If they are still not gone, if you still want them gone and want to risk having consequences you should critcize them outloud and calling them faeries.
