Gary W. Landen
Jan. 4, 1954 - March 4, 1991

Gary & I met in 1980 at a rock-n-roll club when I was on a date with a nightmare. When my date snatched my car keys from me, this beatuiful, 6'4" gentle giant stepped up and said, "I believe the lady would like her keys. Can you do that for me, brother?" That was the first time I recognized the unique aura about Gary. He could calm a mob with his mere presence & just a few words. Little did I know, I was about to meet a real Angel on earth that would teach me the meaning of true, unconditional love~

Within a week, we began dating, and over the next year, I was amazed to find this gentleman who never swayed in character--He was a happy and soulful person all the time. He was genuine...inside and out. So when he asked me to marry him in November of 1981, I knew this was the kind of blessing that dreams are made of~
Our first home was a small duplex we rented for $200 a month. We had nothing more than a bed and a couch we bought at Salvation Army, and we didn't care...we were happy just being with each other. In 1983, we lucked up on the opportunity to have our first real home built. He always believed in my dreams, and always made my dreams come true~
In 1984, we had our first daughter, Allison Rae. In 1985, Gary adopted my son Jason when we caught-up with Jason's father whom had abandoned us before I met Gary. And in 1986, Gary & I had our second daughter, Lydia Beth. Through the years that followed, Gary was the best husband & father ayone could dream for.
