Fishguard Bay
Last August Bank holiday, all three of us went on holiday to the Gower Peninsula in Swansea. As usual something silly happened, read about it below.
Our Holiday Happenings!!!
As always when we go away something went awry, but this was a pretty good one even for us. We arrived at our pretty isolated campsite at about 3.30pm on the Saturday and realised that we hadn't bought our lottery tickets!!! Absolute nightmare, so Leanne phoned her Mum on the mobile but as she wasn't there left a message on the machine, which went something like this... " Mum, if you're there pick the phone up, Mum are you there!!" She was also quite breathless because we had to walk up the side of a mountain practically to get a signal.
Realising no - one was home she gave up and hung up. We all decided to get in the car and search for the nearest shop, which we found a few miles away. As we were camping with no electricity we had turned the mobile phone off, to save power.
We proceeded to have a whale of a time visiting fishing villages, beaches, ruins and monuments and it wasn't until Tuesday, the day before we went home that we turned the phone on again. We had 4 messages the first two from Leanne's mum and then two from the Police. Leanne's Mum had heard the message, on which she sounded, out of breath and desperate, ( We were desperate there were potential millions riding on it, ) and got really worried. She had tried to get us on the phone but when she couldn't, she had phoned the Police and reported us all missing!!!!
We had to phone the Police and tell them we were OK, which was really embarrassing. Gareth phoned first but they wouldn't take his word for it because it was Leanne's mum who had made the report. I think they thought he had pushed us both off a cliff. We even had to phone them when we got home, to make sure we were safe!!!
