Possessions
|
As I sit and ponder on how life should be,
I look around at what has become of me
I have no money, I have no car,
I have no future, how did I fall so far?
In a blink of an eye your life can change,
All the things you cherish, washed away
That's when I realized that's not what life's about,
It's who you love and who loves back,
That makes it what it's all about
For you can have a lifetime of riches and never be,
Half as happy as my life has made me
For even without the possessions,
I have all I could ever need,
I have a family that cares for me
They love me unconditional,
And that's hard to find
They know I am imperfect,
But they still treasure my mind
For after the test of time,
Your possessions will fade
But the ones you love, will always remain
