trying to do my homework
thinking hard
an idea pops into my head
hunger growls in my stomach
mind wanders aimlessly
drop the book, find the answer somewhere else
come back later and sigh...why can't I focus?
another day of work
prolonged by my lack of attention span
I can do all things through Him who strengthens me

He clothes the lilies and feeds the birds,
how much more will He provide for those He made
in His image
let tomorrow worry about itself
seek Him first
give it to God and let go
a prayer and the stress is gone
a sigh of contentment and the day continues
my burden is now light
God took it all away
life's not perfect
if only I had just a little more
than it would be alright
is it want of popularity?

every time I jump up I only sink a little deeper

We've been cleansed from the dirt
that makes us more vunerable for the dust to catch
its an eternal circle

Lord, I'm trying so hard to get out of this place
I look around me--
the rain is pouring
people rushing everywhere
hidden under their umbrellas
hiding from the world and its pointing finger
the rain cam down
we were made clean
all our dirt washed away
everyone was made pure on that day
His grace is so awesome--
no umbrellas are wanted when He rains down
no ponchos on sale when the "graceflood" comes
dirt is running down the streets
the children delight in the mud puddles
the learned mothers pull them away
now it becomes their secret desire
children love to get dirty
don't we all?
