These curlies were rescued in the fall of 2003, and though the court process was lengthly and costly, the horses were turned over to Curly Coat Junction by court order.
The horses had arrived in poor condition, and the previous owner didn't believe in immunizations, so all had to be brought current on all immunizations and farrier care, as well as other issues. The horses had been relatively unhandled as well and didn't trust people. Now they are loving, trusting, well-behaved horses.
We cared a great deal for them, and we will miss them, they made some positive changes in my life as well. I met some wonderful people thru the duration of this endeavor, and we met a wonderful, and honest Lawyer and his incredibly wonderful Secratary. They gave me hope, and help when I needed it most.
The horses, and the people I met, changed my life forever, and I am a better person for having known them all. The lessons learned, the friends made, I will never forget the "Alberta 23"
All of them have now been placed in loving family homes. Thank you to everyone who helped and contributed to helping these horses find a better home, with better people.
