Alberta Rescue Curlies
These curlies were rescued in the fall of 2003, and though the court process was lengthly and costly, the horses were turned over to Curly Coat Junction by court order.

The horses had arrived in poor condition, and the previous owner didn't believe in immunizations, so all had to be brought current on all immunizations and farrier care, as well as other issues.  The horses had been relatively unhandled as well.  Now they are loving, trusting, well-behaved horses.

We have cared a great deal for them, and while we will miss them greatly, they must find new homes, with someone who will take the time with them that each horse deserves, and we need to continue down our own path as well.

These horses have changed my life forever, and I am a better person for having known them, and they have taught me a lot.

All of them have now been place in loving family homes.  Thank you to everyone who helped and contributed to helping these horses find a better home, with better people.

These pictures show the condition that the horses were in when we rescued them.
This mare and this filly had curly coats, which cover up how horrible they really looked, but it's apparent the shape they were in.
This colt's hooves were so badly in need of trimming that he had difficulty walking.
These are the horses after being properly cared for at Curly Coat Junction, and we are happy to say that they've all found great homes!
