| DJ LARRY LEGEND will be missed at THE EDGE, and he wants to thank the following people: Bill Clark - Asst. director of the SUNY New Paltz campus media center, and the head honcho of WFNP. He helped me work the radio board and was always there when I had any questions about how THE EDGE and radio itself works. Lys Anderson-Helped Me get started on WRNP Radio Noise Pollution last spring. Francis Taracido- Former Chief Student Engineer, who helped me engineer EDGE News while I was getting qualified. Bonnie McCarthy- Former Edge program director, who also showed me the ropes and giving me a time slot last semester. Matt Marolf- Current General Manger, who allowed me to do my qualification on his show last year from 4-5 AM. Tiana Maher- News director, allowed me to do sports during the newscasts. Kevin Connell- "Pimp Daddy", Mr. EDGE himself. He helped me out with everything here. From my promo to organizing the wiffleball game the past 3 semesters. He helped me a lot and it was a pleasure to work with him. Lathda Doungchang- the current Edge program director, for always being able to give me a nice time slot, and making it easier for our LIVE basketball broadcasts to go over the air this year on air. And everyone else on the EDGE Executive Board, thanks a lot. Now for everyone else that I haven't mentioned yet: First and foremost, I want to thank Mr. Phil Strum for listening to my show almost each and every night, for calling me up on occasion, and having the opportunity to put him on the air 4 times this year. Also, for working with him this semester with him on Game Time along w/ Jerry Klepadlo, and being the voice of the Emergency Alert System. I appreciate him for being a fan of The All Rock Show, and it will be different without him listening to my show. Thanks a lot for being a regular listener to The All Rock Show, and good luck next year with Game Time and your internship at the Poughkeepsie Journal. Also, I'd like to thank Jonathan Matura of the Monday Night Show of Shows. For coming on my show one time, for allowing me to come on his show a few times, even last year when he was on Saturday Night, as well as calling up a couple of times and just for being another listener to the show. I want to thank Denise Gallagher of Newburgh, NY, a friend of mine who enjoyed listening to my show each time she heard it, and for letting me put her on the air one time last semester. She was probably the only person I know that was listening to me in the Hudson Valley, other than all you guys out there. Thanks Denise. I'd like to thank a good friend of mine from back home in Staten Island, NY, Seth FIsher, who was listening to me in some form from Polytechnic University in Farmingdale, LI. I put him on air twice, so I appreciate him for calling me up. Also, last semester, I had my good friend and co-host on PRO SPORTS THIS WEEK on WNPC-TV, Greg Enfield and his roommate Jesse Brazil, for coming on my show one time last semester, which was pretty fun. Mr. New Paltz, Jason Bryden, who supported me, as well with my radio career, and I was able to play him a couple of songs. Thank you very much, Jason. New Paltz is not the same w/o you. I want to thank the World Wrestling Federation for making me an addict of their company and for forcing me to play their music. Haha. Not really forcing, but making me play their music. And of course, Stone Cold Steve Austin called me 4 weeks ago, as well as Scott Hall, who was actually Phil Strum, who also imitated Chris Jericho, as well as Edge. And Kurt Angle was on the show, but it was actually New Paltz and EDGE alum Jamie Gerardi who called me up, so I want thank him for calling me up, and the NWO. HAHA I want to also thank my girlfriend Bonnie Sampliner for being very supportive of me, and also, I was able to play her numerous songs and give her shout outs, and she enjoyed it, so thanks a lot for everything, Bonnie. I love you. And one more shout out to Katie and Ben from Wappingingers Falls, who called me before the end of my second to last show and wished me luck. I put her on the air 4 weeks ago, so thanks Katie and Ben for your wishes. And although they aren't the EDGE, I wanna give a shout out to WNPC-TV here on the campus of SUNY NP, because I got my start in this business at the college there, and did a lot for them and with them, and was able to promote them up here at the EDGE, especially being the sports director, host of Pro Sports This Week, and the voice of the Men's Volleyball team for the past year and a half. I had a home here at THE EDGE, but my home away from here was downstairs at WNPC-TV. So I want to thank everyone for getting me involved w/ WNPC, especially. the former general manager, Kleber Delgado. Kleber was like what "Pimp Daddy" Kev is up here at the EDGE, and that says a lot. And now, I want to give a shout out to the rest of the DJ's I had great times w/ up here at 88.7 FM: First off, "Calamity" Corinne Manabat, formerly of the Hip Hot Spot. She helped me w/ my promo last year when she was the production director. I wish her luck because she'll be graduating next semester. Also, Gordie Tepper, The Great One himself, not a DJ, but a long time member of this station for 4 years, who is moving on himself. Good luck Gordo, the EDGE will miss you. The DJ before me for 2 semesters in a row, Matt Mottel, for opening the door for me when I needed to get into the building to do my show. Thank you Matt. The Boys of Chico and the Man, the show after me this semester, for being very kind and courteous to me, when I opened the door for them, and I wanna wish them luck next year. And last, but certainly not least, YOU, my listeners in the Hudson Valley. Thanks for your phone calls and requests, also the people who IM'd me on EDGELegend, and for whoever was able to check The All Rock Show webpage. The address was long, but if you caught up with it, I appreciate you for checking it out. I'm sure I had a good deal of people out there listening at this time. It would've been nice to have all of you guys' call or IM me, but you can't always get it your way. But I do appreciate you guys for checking out 88.7 FM THE EDGE and The All Rock Show with yours truly, Larry Legend. And for anyone I didn't mention, I apologize, but thanks a lot for listening and supporting me during my time here at THE EDGE. |
