For the past 12 years I have worked in the multifaceted world of eMedia on both the Macintosh and Windows platforms, excelling on various page layout, illustration, image processing, multimedia, and web development applications, e.g., PageMaker, QuarkXPress, Illustrator, Freehand, Corel Draw Suite, Photoshop, Director, Avid Studio, Bryce 3D, Front Page, Dreamweaver, GoLive, NetObjects Fusion, Home Page, etc., to name just a few.
During that time I have
executed a variety of projects from start to finish including corporate trademarks,
ad layouts, magazines, product labels, compact disc and cassette covers, etc.
I also have extensive prepress/preflight knowledge as well as experience operating
a wide variety of peripheral devices such as: imagesetters,
digital color copiers, RIP devices, CD-Rs, flatbed/drum scanners, graphic
tablets, digital cameras, etc. It should be noted as well that
I am quite versed and highly educated in the process of offset printing and
the color theory relative to not only that trade, but as it regards digital
printing and desktop applications.
Over the past 4 years
I have become intensively involved with the Net (World Wide Web) and website
design/development, and would welcome the opportunity to gain even more exposure
to and experience with the constantly evolving technology of that medium.
Presently, I am seeking a permanent or contractual position as a high-end
graphic designer, website designer or developer, prepress tech, creative director,
graphic manager, or a position that
would allow me to use all of my diverse talents and skills. I am highly creative,
hard working, a
self-starter/motivater, and enjoy being in employment environments that respect
and appreciate ingenuity, creativity, innovation, commitment, and dedication.
Besides being a competent
amid specialist, I am also a classically trained basalt and drummer, published
writer/journalist, and amateur astronomer. In my spare time I enjoy sci-fi,
graphic novels, nonfiction literature, music, art, philosophy, computers,
and the like.
If I were asked to select one word that best described myself, it would be
without question, "eclectic" (or
some might just say "a geek!")
