Well, as you are probably all very aware, World Cup fever is gripping most of us at the moment - so I'll give you the Freddie-related information on it ;o)

Freddie is playing for Sweden and his team mates were:

1 HEDMAN Magnus (GK)
2 MELLBERG Olof
3 ANDERSSON Patrik
4 MJALLBY Johan
5 SVENSSON Michael
6 LINDEROTH Tobias
7 ALEXANDERSSON Niclas
8 SVENSSON Anders
9 LJUNGBERG Freddie
10 ALLBACK Marcus
11 LARSSON Henrik
12 KIHLSTEDT Magnus (GK)
13 ANTONELIUS Tomas
14 EDMAN Erik
15 JAKOBSSON Andreas
16 LUCIC Teddy
17 SVENSSON Magnus
18 JONSON Mattias
19 FARNERUD Pontus
20 ANDERSSON Daniel
21 IBRAHIMOVIC Zlatan
22 ANDERSSON Andreas
23 ISAKSSON Andreas (GK)

Well, as you probably know Sweden didn't beat Senegal (although in my opinion it was very, very close). Sweden scored a goal first then Senegal later equalised, the game went to Golden Goal and...yes, you guessed it...Senegal scored. I'm very proud of the Sweden lads and I think they did very well to get so far...they would have beaten 'em if Freddie wasn't injured though!!

Sweden was in Group F along with England, Argentina and Nigeria. When group F finished, the scores looked like this:

MP Won Drawn Lost GF GA Points
Sweden 3 1 2 0 4 3 5
England 3 1 2 0 2 1 5
Argentina 3 1 1 1 2 2 4
Nigeria 3 0 1 2 1 3 1

Sweden drew 1-1 with Argentina (with Sweden's goal scored by Anders Svensson! Yeah!)...I was watching the England match at school on a massive screen with my friends when the flashed up a thing saying Sweden has scored a goal and I errupted into a chant of 'one nil! One nil!'...then later we found out Argentina equalised=o( But Sweden still finished tops and Argentina didn't go through..

Also Sweden has played England (1st June 2002) and the score was 1-1, the goals were scored by Sol Campbell for England and Alexandersson scored for Sweden. They have also played Nigeria (7th June 2002) and the score was 2-1, both goals for Sweden were scored by Henrik Larsson (one was with the help of Freddie!) and to be honest, who cares who scored the goal for Nigeria!

Got something wrong? Why don't you e-mail me and tell me.
