Scene Summaries - Act Two
Act 2 Scene 1

It starts off with Polonius speaking to his servant about his son Laertes. Polonius wants his servant to go to Paris and not only spy on his but make up lies about Laertes to get the truth. I guess Polonius believes Laertes to get the truth and thinks he is a bad kid. Fights, drinks, and goes to wore houses. Ophelia comes in to speak to her father, telling him Hamlet was just in her room looking like he just came from hell. And he grabbed her wrist and started shaking it. Then stopped and left. Polonius believes its because hes crazy in love. Because he thought he was taking advantage of her so he told Ophelia not to speak to him and send all his letter back. At the end Polonius was taking Ophelia to the King to discuss this matter.

Asking him if he has a daughter and talks weirdly the whole time. Claudius sent for Hamlet two old friends Guildenstern and Rosencrantz to cheer up Hamlet.
