Caroline married Christian Friedrick Hahnke on 14 Nov 1828 in Rexin, Kreis Stolp, Pommern, Preussen

          4   M   iii.  Friedrich Christian Hahnke was born on 11 Sep 1833 in Rexin, Kreis Stolp, Pommern, Preussen and was christened on 22 Sep 1833 in Stojentin, Kreis Stolp, Prussia. 

 

          5   F    iv.  Henriette Adeline Hahnke was born on 31 Jul 1835 in Rexin, Kreis Stolp, Pommern, Preussen was christened on 9 Nov 1835 in Stojentin, Kreis Stolp, Prussia, and died on 15 Nov 1835 in Rexin, Kreis Stolp, Pommern, Preussen. 

 

          6   F     v.  Ernestine Wilhelmine Hahnke was born on 17 Sep 1836 in Rexin, Kreis Stolp, Pommern, Preussen and was christened on 25 Sep 1836 in Stojentin, Kreis Stolp, Prussia. 

 

          7   F    vi.  Caroline Johanna Hahnke was born on 30 Aug 1839 in Rexin, Kreis Stolp, Pommern, Preussen and was christened on 4 Sep 1839 in Stojentin, Kreis Stolp, Prussia. 

 

          8   F   vii.  Emilie Auguste Hahnke was born on 22 Aug 1842 in Rexin, Kreis Stolp, Pommern, Preussen and was christened on 28 Aug 1842 in Stojentin, Kreis Stolp, Prussia. 

 

Emilie married Otto Adam in Germany. 

 

Caroline next married Johann Ferdinand Urlaub on 1 Sep 1843 in Stojentin, Kreis Stolp, Prussia.

Herman married Emilie Johanna Heinriette Tilly in 1868. 

 

  +   11   M   iii.  Rudolph W. Urlaub was born on 20 Nov 1850 in Grumbkow, Kreis Stolp, Pommern, Preussen; he died on 18 Feb 1934 in Chicago, Cook County, Illinois Death Cert # 6005127, at age 83, and was buried on 22 Feb 1934 in Concordia Cemetery Forest Park, IL lot1002 Sec9. 

 

Rudolph married Johanna Auguste Sell about 1875.

10.  Herman Julius Urlaub (Caroline ¹) was born on 19 Dec 1846 in Prebendow, Kreis Stolp, Prussia, was christened on 3 Jan 1847 in Stojentin, Kreis Stolp, Prussia, died on 12 Sep 1911 in Hawks, Presque Isle County, Michigan, at age 64, and was buried on 15 Sep 1911 in Old Hope Lutheran Cemetery, Hawks, Presque Isle County, Michigan.  The cause of his death was dropsy, edema.

Carl Urlaub, Shoemaker journeyman of Rexin,

Hermann Klems, carpenter journeyman of Vixon

Ernestine Kroll, Daughter of Kossäthen

 

Herman married Emilie Johanna Heinriette Tilly, daughter of Unknown and Florentine Tilly, in 1868. 

 

  Children from this marriage were:

 

        12   F      i.  Martha Urlaub was born on 6 Jun 1871 in Prussia and died on 18 Sep 1891 in Bismarck Twp., Presque Isle County, Michigan, at age 20.  The cause of her death was fever. 

 

Martha married (name unknown). 

 

        13   F     ii.  Pauline Therese Ottilie Urlaub was born on 29 Jun 1874 and was christened on 12 Jul 1874 in Glowitz, Kreis Stolp, Pommern, Preussen.  Another name for Pauline was Lena. 

 

Pauline married John M. Thomas on 8 Sep 1890 in Chicago, Cook Co, Illinois. 

 

Pauline next married Edward Hasenburg, son of Unknown and Caroline, after 1910. 

 

        14   F    iii.  Emma Urlaub was born about 1875 and died before 1878. 

 

        15   M    iv.  Louis Leonhard Urlaub was born on 29 Jul 1878 in Prussia, died on 18 Jan 1954 in Hawks, Presque Isle County, Michigan, at age 75, and was buried on 21 Jan 1954 in Old Hope Lutheran Cemetery, Hawks, Presque Isle County, Michigan. 

 

Louis married Anna Caroline Gleason on 16 May 1901 in Rogers City, Presque Isle County, Michigan. 

 

        16   M     v.  Emil Urlaub was born on 1 Jan 1880 in Belknap Twp., Presque Isle County, Michigan, died on 6 Oct 1942 in Presque Isle County, Michigan, at age 62, and was buried on 8 Oct 1942 in New Hope Lutheran Cemetery, Hawks, Presque Isle County, Michigan. 

 

He never married.

 

        17   M    vi.  Otto E. Urlaub was born in Aug 1884 in Bismarck Twp., Presque Isle County , Michigan. 

 

Otto married Nellie R.. 

 

        18   F   vii.  Marie Bertha Martha Urlaub was born on 17 Mar 1883 in Belknap Twp., Presque Isle County, Michigan. 

 

Marie married Heinrich Johann Ludwig Klee, son of Christian Friedrich Klee and Albertine Wilhelmine Bredow, on 1 Dec 1908 in Belknap Twp., Presque Isle County, Michigan. 

 

        19   F  viii.  Wilhelmine Lousie Dora Urlaub was born on 20 May 1887 in Chicago, Cook Co, Illinois and was christened on 11 Jun 1887 in St. Matthäus Kirche, Chicago, Cook County, Illinois.  Other names for Wilhelmine were Minnie, and Mina. 

 

        20   M    ix.  Leopold Charles Urlaub Rev. was born on 28 Apr 1891 in Michigan and died on 7 May 1954 in Garnavillo, Clayton County, Iowa, at age 63.  Another name for Leopold was Carl. 

 

Leopold married Johanna Katherine Locker, daughter of Johann Heinrich Christian Locker and Fantje Margarethe Reustmann, about 1918. 

 

11.  Rudolph W. Urlaub (Caroline ¹) was born on 20 Nov 1850 in Grumbkow, Kreis Stolp, Pommern, Preussen died on 18 Feb 1934 in Chicago, Cook County, Illinois  Death Cert # 6005127, at age 83, and was buried on 22 Feb 1934 in Concordia Cemetery Forest Park, Illot1002 Sec9.  The cause of his death was myocarditis1930 & athersclerosis1915. 

 

General Notes: Johanna ended up living with her daughter Emma, as she got older as her and her husband "fought like cats and dogs"  Rudolph lived with other daughter Lily

 

Rudolph arrived in the USA May 11, 1872 aboard the ship Christel from Bremen to NY  he was accompanied by a relative (Father) Johann URLAUB age 54 male, from Koeslin Germany, their final destination listed as OHIO

 

At some point they returned to Germany and on April 19, 1880 they returned with others on the RHEIN from Bremen to USA

German church records lists him, in 1875 as a worker in Grossendorf, in 1879 as a Deputy in Dochow

Rudolph married Johanna Auguste Sell, daughter of Johann Sell and Carolina Wilhelmie Schayk, about 1875.
