| Hello from John and Linda Kelmer, owners of L & J Farms. The Kelmers' 10-acre farm is located in Baldwin County, Ala., near the Perdido community. John, an ex-Navy man, was born and raised in New Jersey; while Linda was raised in on an Alabama farm. |

| After retiring, the Kelmers settled into farm life and found an interest in Katahdin sheep. The Kelmers were introduced to the breed by their son and daughter-in-law, Joey and Rhonda Kelmer of Atmore. | |
| John and Linda have doubled the size of their herd of registered Katahdin sheep, from 10 to 20 ewes, with hopes for a good crop of lambs from November through January. | |
| "Our goal is to one day have a worm-resistant RR-gene-typed flock," Linda said. L & J Farms has been a part of the voluntary scrapie certification program since March 2002. |

| "We look forward to meeting folks from all over the U.S. and maybe even further," Linda said recently. "If you are ever in our area, please come by and visit. "John loves showing off the sheep," she added. |
