VOCABULARY
Kiu is used for both who and which (one), depending on the sentence.
GRAMMAR
You have learned that singular nouns (persons, places, things, etc.) end in -O and plural nouns end in -OJ. The words used to describe nouns are called adjectives. In Esperanto, these words always end in -A and also pluralize with -AJ when the noun they are describing is plural. Notice the following pattern:
| singular ( ___ a ___ o ) | plural ( ___ aj ___ oj ) |
| bela birdo | belaj birdoj |
| g^oja aktoro | g^ojaj aktoroj |
| granda elefanto | grandaj elefantoj |
Kiu also takes the plural ending -J when required.

| Kiuj estas grandaj? | Which ones are big? |
