Linkin Park: Hybrid Theory
< ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------->
Well, what can I say about this angry, 'from a middle class' background group.  Firstly, they get straight to it in their songs,- (no prolonged intros like with 'Tool)',- and the heavy riffs get your attention , the vocals from both Chester Bennigton and Mike Shinoda combine perfectly in almost every track. 'Papercut', 'With You', 'Crawling' and 'A Place For My Head' stick out the most for me, though 'A Cure For The Itch' sounds fun-(Joseph Hahn scratching and mixing basically).
The Album as a whole is good, but, they seem to apply the same formula to each song, so for those of you who aren't big fans of Linkin Park, you might find it a bit repetitive, personally i can't wait till the next album, lets hope they change their style a little.(or not if you like it the way it is)
3 out of 5.
