My railroading career started in 1959, on the, Rock Island lines. I worked on the Rock in many different positions starting on the section shoveling snow. I worked as switchman, brakeman, conductor, trainmaster, and asst. superintendent. I wound up my career on the Rock, at Peoria, Ill. When the Rock closed it's doors in March of 1980 I found a home on the CSX. My last position on the CSXwas Trainmaster, with responsibility for Cleveland, Lorain, and Akron yards. It's a long story how I managed to now be working as engineer on the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic RR.
I'm not sure what I expect to offer on this web page, but it will be good practice for me. My latest hobby is shooting digital photos. I have installed a couple on this page. I would like to learn more about how to edit video on the computer so I could copy some of the miles of tape I have accumulated over the years.
If you find this page drop me a line. I hope to make new contacts and learn more about this computer world.
If you check out steven J. Brown's link, go to Archives to see some photos of the Rock Island Railroad
My Photo Album, is where to find some of my digital photos.
Don't forget to drop me a line or at least sign my guest book. Be patient. This page is in an evoluationary stage.
