- WIN/LOSE RECORD - Coming in 2004
- MATCH - MWA World Tag Team Championship
- DATE OF CARD - December 20, 2003
- LOCATION - Tokyo, Japan - Tokyo Egg Dome
- TITLE - A Tragic Past
In Tokyo, Japan for the Rising Sons Pay Per View, LJ Black is haunted by his past while preparing for a match for the MWA World Tag Team Championships with Trin Litrell against the champions, Fyre and Mary Jane, whom won the titles when Blayze Alexander attacked Dante. This allowed Mary Jane to pin Dante and take the Tag titles without ever gaining a pin fall over the champions. On top of the chance to regain the Tag titles, LJ has begun to scout out prospects to join the Foundation, something that does not set well with "Living Legend" Steve Hughes. At the same time, LJ is faced with memories of his first trip to Japan and a tragic past that not even his fiance Trinity knows knows about.

The Foundation is walking a fine line and could fall either way with the information the woman known as Scorned carries concerning a crime covered up by the three founding members of the Foundation. Now Trinity Litrell, Steve Hughes, and LJ Black must hope that Sierra Devereaux can take out the masked mystery woman before she can share with the world the knowledge she posesses. It is doubtful that any of the three believe they can keep this crime hidden much longer and when the Foundation's dark secret is brought to light, will it shatter the Foundation or make them an even stronger force than they already are?

LJ Black and Steve Hughes are at odds over inviting Josh Swanson into the Foundation and now LJ Black has set in motion plans of his own. Unbeknownst to Steve Hughes, Black has begun to speak with three others about joining the Foundation - Angel Allure, John Patrick, and the untested rookie John Clayton. What this will do to the relationship between Hughes and Black is unknown, as well as if any or all of the individuals Black has approached will accept his offer and join the Foundation. Will the Foundation walk out of Rising Sons stronger than ever and enter the new year with a bang or will it all come an end with just a whimper?

[Tokyo, Japan December 1995, the dojo of Master Roshi, one of the top martial arts masters in the world - Standing, looking out into the garden, LJ Black, dressed in a black t-shirt and jeans, watches a young Japanese girl wearing a white kimino as she walks through the garden. Master Roshi walks up wearing a red ki and stands next to his student, his eyes an intense black. He watches the young girl then turns to LJ. A slight smile crosses his face.]

LJ: Master, what do you find so amusing?

Roshi: It is so clear yet you are to afraid to act, Black-san. Usagi-chan and yourself are destined to be together. One who looks deep enough can see your souls are bound by a power greater than yourselves. Tell her how you feel and watch the future unfold in front of you eyes.

[LJ looks at the man with a look of shock. Was he that obvious in his attraction to Usagi or was the old master even wiser than he had given the man credit for?]

LJ: Of course, Sensei. You are right. I will tell her how I feel.

[The present - Walking down a street in Tokyo, LJ Black walks wearing a black trenchcoat and black slacks, holding a black umbrella. Walking with him under the umbrella is Trinity Litrell, wearing a white, silk kimino, her long, blonde hair flowing down behind her. They stop outside a sushi bar and LJ looks at the place, a look of surprise on his face.]

Trin: LJ, what's the matter? You look like someone hit you in the gut with a sledgehammer.

LJ: This was the spot that Master Roshi's dojo stood. I heard he passed away recently, but I had no idea that his dojo was no longer open. I just assumed one of his students would take over. Instead, someone has turned the property into a sushi bar.

Trin: Who is Master Roshi and since when have you been bothered by someone taking advantage of an opening, making money unless it affected you?

LJ: I never told you about my the time I spent in Japan when I was nineteen, Trin. Let's get back to the penthouse, out of this rain and I will explain everything to you.

Trin: You spent time in Japan and you never told me about it? [The past - LJ walks out into the garden and approaches Usagi. He tries to hide his nervousness as he looks at the young Japanese beauty standing next to the small pond looking into the water. As the sun shines overhead, the sky a clear blue, she turns to him and smiles, a smile that melts his heart as she moves a strand of her long, jet black hair from in front of her face.]

In Japanese:

Usagi: Can I help you, LJ-san?

LJ: Uh..uh.. Usagi-chan, uhh would you.. that is ..

Usagi: Of course I will go out with you, LJ-san. I have been hoping you would ask.

[LJ stands there with a dumbfounded look on his face as Usagi leans over and gives a small kiss on the cheek and moves back giggling. LJ looks at her, his face turning bright red.]

[The present, in the penthouse at the hotel the Foundation is staying at while in Japan - LJ Black sits down on the black, leather couch after hanging his coat and umbrella on the coat rack. Trin Litrell walks in from the kitchen and brings two cups of coffee and lays them on the glass coffee table in front of them. She sits next to him rests her head on his shoulder, closing her eyes. LJ picks up a remote and hits a button dimming the lights and soft music begins to play out of the expensive Sony stereo in the other corner of the room, which is decorated with a big screen TV, the couch and love seat, the stereo and coffee table and a small bar off to the side, with white walls and a plush red carpet.]

Trin: Now, you going were to tell me about the time you were in Japan. So out with it, mister.

LJ: Well, you know when I was eighteen I made my first million on the stock market. At that time, i decided to travel the world while my brokers and accountants handled my affairs back in the states. While in Japan, I got in a street fight and I was holding my own, it was six on one, but a cheap shot brought me to one knee. At that point, an old man stepped in and took out all six of those punks.

[The past, in a dark alley where LJ Black had took a wrong turn - Six, young Japanese guys in leather jackets lay broken and bruised, scattered around the alley. LJ Black, wearing a black t-shirt, jeans and black biker boots shakes his head to clear the cobwebs and looks up at the old man with thin, slightly balding hair and a gray moustache wearing a red kimino. He offers his hand, which Black accepts and the old man helps him to his feet.] In Japanese:

Roshi: That was quite fool hardy, but still an impressive display, young man. Have you studied martial arts before?

LJ: Only the basics I just wanted to be sure I could defend my self when I needed it. Those punks thought they were going to steal my bike and I was not going to let anyone take what is mine.

Roshi: For an American, you speak Japanese well. Oh, where are my manners? I am Roshi Satome. I own the dojo down the street. I could use a student with the skills you show.

LJ: Thank you, Satome-san. If not for you, those punks may have got away with my bike and possibly my life. To answer your question, I learned basic Japanese in high school and learned more since I got here a month ago. I would be honored to study under you.

[As the two men turn to walk out of the alley, one of the punks starts to get up, his backside facing them in a position that has his rear sticking out. LJ turns and kicks the man, causing him to fall face first in the garbage under the dim lit night.]

The present -

Trin: I am just glad he showed up when he did. If not for Roshi, I would not have you here with me today and who knows how much different my life might be without you, LJ.

LJ: You would not be engaged to a millionaire.

[He looks at her with a grin on his face as she lightly swats his arm and leans closer to him. LJ wraps his arms around her, holding her close and tight as if he is afraid of losing her.]

LJ: So are you ready to regain our Tag Team titles Sunday and bring them back to where they belong?

Trin: I am more then ready. They got lucky during that last match. I had the flu and that damn Scorned jumped Sierra and allowed Fyre and Mary Jane to get the win by double teaming me. Do you really think Scorned will reveal what she knows at the Pay Per View?

LJ: I am positive of it because it is what I would do. She has a international audience, but I have already got our ducks in a row back home. Everything will be fine for now, we just have to worry about getting out Tag titles back where they belong and adding more muscle to the Foundation.

Trin: Okay, I understand John Patrick, he is a seasoned veteran, but why Angel Allure and John Clayton?

[LJ gives her an evil grin and she looks at him with a puzzled look on her face.]

LJ: Angel comes with JP and I have seen videos of her training. She is damn good and the same goes for JC. People will have the same reaction you did. They will ask why and not expect them to be as good as they are. Plus, they are both from Dallas - the same as I.

Trin: (laughing) Only you would use the hometown reason.

[The door to the penthouse opens and in walks LJ's head of security, Shawn Roberts, wearing a black suit and red tie. He has an urgent look on his face and is holding what appears to be a rolled up scroll in his hand.]

LJ: What's up Shawn? Did you take care of that business for me?

Trin: Would you like a cup of coffee, Shawn?

[Shawn walks over and hands the scroll to LJ who opens it and begins to read it as Shawn sits down on a stool at the bar and begins to talk.]

Shawn: No thanks, Trinity. All taken care of, big dog. Should I beef up security?

Trin: What are you talking about, Shawn? Why would we need more security?

LJ: Because dear, this was sent from the Yakuza.

[Trin's eyes go wide with shock and fear, her mouth wide open but no words come out as LJ pulls her closer to him to trys and reassure her.]

LJ: No, Shawn everything will be okay and Trin, do not worry. I know some people involved with the Yakuza. There is nothing to worry about. You just concern yourself with our match and getting those titles back where they belong.

The past -

In Japanese :

[LJ Black, wearing black suit and tie has his arms wraped around Usagi who is dressed in her school uniform of a sailor suit top and red bow with a blue skirt and white socks with black shoes. They are standing under a cherry blossom tree. The sky over head is covered with dark clouds, looking as if it will open up with rain at any moment. Usagi has her head buried in LJ's chest, crying.]

LJ: Shhhhh, it will be okay Usagi-chan, you will just leave with me. There is nothing he can do to stop us from being married. I do not care what your father thinks. We will be together forever.

Usagi: LJ-san, you do not understand. There is one thing I have never told you, for I was ashamed and afraid you may not understand or not love me anymore if you knew the truth about my family.

[LJ gently pulls her back from him and looks down into her black eyes, giving her a smile filled with love then pulls her close, hugging her tightly.]

LJ: There is nothing that you could say about your family that would make me stop loving you or prevent me from marrying you, Usagi-chan.

Usagi: You know how my father feels about Americans and he does not know about the two of us.

LJ: I understand. That is why I have honored your wishes and not met your parents and we both know Shinji-chan has not told them, so we will just tell them before we leave for America. There is nothing he can do to stop us then.

[Usagi breaks out crying more as LJ holds her tighter, unaware of the black limo that has pulled up on the street behind them. An old man with black hair wearing a black business suit exits the back of the limo as the driver opens the door and walks towards the couple.]

Ikari: Usagi-chan, get away from that white devil now. You are coming home with me now and this American will leave Japan by tomorrow and never return if he wishes to live.

[LJ stares at the other man who is a few inches shorter than him, standing 6'2", his eyes burning into the older man who does not back down, but grabs his daughter by the arm and yanks her away from LJ.]

LJ: I do not care who you are, old man. You can not stop me from seeing your daughter. We are going to be married and your threats mean nothing. I will leave Japan when I am ready along with Usagi.

Ikari: You will leave without my daughter. She will be punished for the dishonor she has brought upon my house. As for you American, you are lucky I have chose to give you the chance to leave and not have you killed here and now.

[LJ steps towards them, anger showing on his face as he closes his right hand into a fist and Usagi, her eyes filled with tears yells out at him.]

Usagi: LJ-san, you do not understand! That is what I was trying to tell you! My father is Yakuza!

[LJ stops in his tracks, a look of shock and horror on his face not knowing how to react to this.]

[The present, later that night near midnight - Trin Litrell is asleep in the large, king size bed she shares with LJ Black, covered in black, silk sheets. She is fast asleep. A black gloved hand reaches down, laying a note on the pillow next to her. The hand belongs to LJ who is dressed in a black turtleneck sweater, black pants and black combat boots. He pulls on his black trenchcoat and reaches down, kissing Trin on her right cheek before standing back up and staring down at the blonde beauty as she sleeps.]

LJ: Never forget Trin, I love you.

[As he turns and walks out of the room, the note on the pillow comes into focus and it reads the following.]

Trin,

If I do not come back, get out of Japan and never come back. Shawn will make sure that you get home safely and my lawyers have my will. Just please understand no matter what, I love you and will always be with you as long as you carry my love in your heart.

Love,
LJ
