Linda J. Jampsa here, transplanted in Chula Vista, California. Yah, how dur dat 'appen to a Minner-soda gal thru n thru? Uff Da...lemme tell ya'll...
In 2004, I lost my job due to 'merger-activities' - it's like downsizing but really a take-over, so...... after 28 years working in the Insurance industry for the same company, I found myself adrift (I say, can you think of a better place to be adrift then by the beautiful shores of Sunny California?).
My main squeeze, Marcus, our dog, Tasia, and I packed up and headed West, just like the Beverly Hillbillies (OK-not exactly-we never found any black gold)...anyway, here we are! Marcus and I are planning to get hitched one day, but so far we are happy the way it is - and Tasia doesn't care as long as she gets lots of luv and plenty of treats!!
The move was difficult, because I had to leave my sons - Eric, Aaron and Allen. They are all grown up now and have families of their own. We've always had a tight circle and always try to have each other's back. I am so proud of them at how good they turned out - besides they are really handsome, quite talented and great father's.
My real cutie-pies are their children - Ashley, Hayly and Lili. Talk about sweetie-peeties. My 'lee-lee bug', 'boo-boo' and 'lily-peapod' are smart, too! They are so beautiful, curious and growin like little flowers - I really, really miss them a whole lot!
I still have a lot relatives in Minnesota - my gramps, my dad and step-mom, my aunties and uncles, my sis, and assorted nephews and cousins...and lots and lots of friends and other people that are important in my life. My mom is here in Chula Vista (another reason 4 our move) and we are happy to be near her in her golden years. Go Padres!! |
