Hulst Farrier Service
Hulst Farrier Service is located in northwest Minnesota, near Wannaska Mn., owned and operated by Joel Hulst.

I am Located approximately 70 miles from the North Dakota Border and 27 miles from the Canadian Border.

I am a graduate of Oklahoma State School of Horseshoeing and have been involved with horses most all of my life.

I have trimmed horses for family and friends for several years, and after a local farrier continued to try to convince me that I should get into the business, I decided to take the necessary steps.

I work to educate people on the importance of their horses feet and hooves, I also continue to follow up on my education, because I look at my job as a continuing learning experience.I strive to do the best job possible at reasonable rates.

I am trained for hot and cold shoeing, corrective shoeing and healthcare problems with a horses foot.
I can custom make shoes out of bar stock when needed.

I am willing to travel in any given direction. I would request that you have a number of horses lined up (10-30) for any distance over 150 miles so I don't have to charge additional for fuel. I will travel from the Canadian Border down to Fergus Falls over to the Wisconsin border and anywhere in between. I am also willing to travel within 250 miles to anywhere in North Dakota.

So if you are looking for a farrier that cares about your horse, and strives to make it a pleasant experience for you and your  horse, please contact me.

If you are interested in Miniature horses, I also raises them along with my father, where we enjoy driving them in parades and also competition.

I also have for sale items which I make out of horseshoes. towel holders, gun racks, hat and coat racks, book ends, shelf brackets, napkin and letter holders, magazine racks.

We also make livestock feeders, that stand up to many years of abuse, in many different sizes and also miniature corral panels.

Please feel free to contact me with any concerns on your horses feet, or for any of the items I may have for sale.

I also have references available, feel free to contact them if you have any concerns or questions.

I have experience dealing with laminitis and other diseases also.

Feel free to contact any of my references for questions regarding my services.

Please contact me by phone or e-mail and I can give you a quote on my rates.
Regular trimming not only improves the condition of the hoof and foot, but also helps to reduce stress on the tendons and ligaments and joints in the leg. Consider this, when your shoes or boots become worn on one side, do you eventually feel it in your knees and joints? The same holds true for your horse with his feet and legs, when his hooves become worn.

Also have Equine Massage Therapy available from a certified Equine Massage Therapist. Enhance the performance of your horse.
