Monday, May 6th
A teacher/naturalist from the Audubon Ark of Drumlin Farm will be presenting a program on Egg Layers to the first grade classes. This program highlights the spectacular diversity in eggs and the animals that lay them. Also included in this program will be a visit by a painted turtle and a mallard duck.


Respect for Heritage Night

Brackett School
Respect for Heritage Night focuses on the many countries and cultures reflected at the Brackett School. All Peirce students K-5 are welcome to join in for this event on Thursday, May 23. Children will begin the evening at 5:45 outside the school with Songs of Peace conducted by music teacher Gina Esile-Silva. Families will be issued passports that will let them travel around the world--classroom by classroom. Food from a number of cultures will be available in the Brackett cafeteria. Thanks to Mary Nolan at the Brackett School for organizing this event!

Colonial Day
May 31st


Colonial Day is a day of hands-on activities, crafts, and performances for grade 3 students at the Peirce and Stratton Schools scheduled for Friday, May 31. Students are encouraged to come to school in Colonial costumes and an authentic lunch and snack will be provided for them.

Parent volunteers are needed to help with activities and crafts and to prepare food. Those interested in volunteering can e-mail Judi Paradis at [email protected].
