 Star Spangled Summer |
The children's rooms of the libraries will be decorated to look like deep space. As children read they will add their "reading stars" until everywhere sparkles. There will be lots of fun, free programs, great books and suggestions for fascinating web sites! Children of all ages are encouraged to join whether they are already independent readers or "listeners." To learn more, check out the Robbins Library website. |
 The Massachusetts Teachers' Association and the Boston Red Sox have teamed up to promote summer reading. Children who pledge to read nine books, one for each position on the ball field, will be entered in a drawing to win free tickets to a Red Sox ballgame at Fenway Park. Two hundred-fifty (250) winners will receive a family pack of four tickets to the August 21st Red Sox game at Fenway Park. To learn more, and to print out an entry form, see Reading Matters.  |
