| I used to go on holiday to north Norfolk with my family. Occasionally we'd go to Suffolk too but it was usually Norfolk. The areas and places I'm familiar with are: 1) Sandringham 2) Holme Beach 3) Holkham Beach 4) Cley 5) Titchwell 6) Blakeney - seeing the seals off Blakeney point was always a highlight! 7) Pleasurewood Hills Theme Park (Suffolk) 8) Langham Glass 9) Holt 10) Cromer and East & West Runton 10) A Dinosaur Park - I can't for the life of me remember its name but we used to go there, go round to see the life-size dinosaur models, play in the play area and then go buy a plastic dinosaur! 11) Thursford - with the guy who played the organ. I seem to remember a train that went round the whole thing - you get a lot of those in N. Norfolk! 12) Burnham Market - this was where we used to get our holiday home. For several years running - from about 1990-1992 inclusive - we got a place called Arch Cottage. Then they stopped renting to holidaymakers and changed the name to Archer Cottage. 1993 was one of our Suffolk excursions, then in 1994 we went back to Burnham Market and rented the house directly opposite Archer Cottage. That place was the best holiday home we've ever had, and I have fond memories of lying on the living room carpet watching Power Rangers and drawing Sonic the Hedgehog! 1994 was THE best summer holiday EVER! |
