Just a typical Spring Day but it changed our lives forever.  At 8:25pm an F5 tornado raged through our community leaving destruction in its wake.
Fortunately we huddled in the basement as the tornado went over.  But when the winds calmed and we came out, we were in total shock at the damage to our home and property.
By morning light, it looked even worse.  Much of our loft was scattered across the field and into the pond.  Three years of dreams lost in a matter of seconds.
Friends arrived and helped us spread tarps and plastic sheeting over the roofs to protect them from the rain and further water damage.
Then we began to clean up the mess.  Since we had built it all ourselves, most of the broken pieces of wood, sheetrock, lumber and tools were recongnizable and brought back memories of when we put them up.  The clean up was as painful as the distruction.
