The town of Lizton is part of the Northwest Hendricks School Corporation. Tri-West High School was built in 1975 at which time the towns of Lizton, north Salem and Pittsboro consolidated to form the corporation. It is located about one-half mile south of Lizton on SR 39. The Jr-High addition was added on in 1993.
Elemenary schools for grades kindergarten thru sixth grades are located at North Salem and Pittsboro.
Transportation is provide for all students through the use of the school buses.
The school corporation offices are located at the corner of US 136 and Church Street in Lizton. The corporation is governed by the school board. this consists of a five member elected board. The members are elected for a four year term.
Constuction is currently underway on the grounds of the current JR/SR High School building. They are constructing a Junior High Building that will house 6th thru 8th grade, when the building is complete. |
