ORGANIZATIONS
   There are organizations and clubs available in the town of Lizton to provide activities for the varied interests of the citizens. All organizations are seeking new members and ideas.
   
    The churches have clubs and activities for both the youth and adults. Also available is the Lions Club which meets on the second and forth Mondays at its park on US 136. The Lizton Community Association meets monthly at various locations. The Lizton K of P Lodge #342 meets regularly at its lodge avove the Post Office. The Pythian Sisters meets monthly at the same location.
   
    The Lizton's Youth ball teams for both boys and girls play at the Lions Club Park and Tri-West High School. Baseball has been a part of the community's youth activities for many years.
    The Lions Club park also provides playground equipment for the young people's energy release. A new shelter house was built in 1990. A playground is also is available across from the Methodist Church and is operated by the church.
   
       The Lions Club and Lizton Community Association, along with other groups, sponsor the
Lizton Festival on the second weekend of August. Activities during the festival include a parade, live entertainment, fish fry, a 5K run and 10K walk, and other activities of interest.
