| Lizton is located in central Indiana in the northwest corner of Hendricks County. It lies about halfway between Indianapolis and Crawfordsville in an east-west line and halfway between Lebanon and Danville in a north-south line. It is at the intersection of US 136 and SR 39. Interstate 74 runs along the northside of Lizton with an interchange at SSR 39 or mile marker 58. Interstate 65 is approximately 12 miles to the north and Interstate 70 is approximately 15 miles to the south. Traveling 18 mile to the east on I-74 provides access I-465. Downtown Indianapolis is a short thirty-five minute drive. A twenty-five minute drive provides access to Indianapolis International Airport. Amtrak's Hoosier State passes through Lizton on the active railroad in town. |
