Yesterday's Beauty
She's got long blonde hair
And eyes of blue
She has a perfect mouth
And legs to her neck
Beautiful proportion
You can see
But there is disfigurement
In this rare beauty
As that's all she has
It's all she can use
To get by
Her real self she hides
But take a closer look
The inperfection is seen
Like a disease
She's shallow
She's fickle
Her beauty
Is her sight
And so are you
If you cannot see
The shallowness
That she has
When her looks
Give excuses
To the way she treated
Anyone of inferior quality
But her precious look
Is only skin dep
True beauty comes
From within the heart
And shines
Upon the world's image
Of ugly
That is pure beauty
The naked eye
Cannot see
So groom your spirit
Take care of the needy
And tell the greedy
Their bitch is ugly
This much I know
Because I have grown
Through her
Can I
Now show you
The way.

"This poem is about me in my shallow youth. I'm a lot nicer now"
