Thank You ~
Dedication to my Husband on our Wedding Day
I have so much to thank you for
And today I wish to express it so
In front of all our family and friends
From the very beginning
When our friendship began
In May of 1992
The best evening of my life
Was when I met you
Our lives were sewn together
Now we have a bond so strong
Nothing can ever tear us apart
And today this ceremony
Is a symbolic expression
Of what we already share
An unconditional love
Second only
To the love God has for us -
For this love Andrew
I thank you....
And I promise
I will always love
I will always share
I will always give myself
Totally for you....
Because in June of 1992
God said
I am building you two up
To become a dwelling place
In which my Holy Spirit can live
And built He has
For now we are inseparable
A threefold cord
Is not easily broken
And that's what we are....
Honey, with you, me and God
We can never go wrong
United we stand
So for your faithfulness
Andrew, I thank you....
For standing by me
Through the tough times
For sharing my many joys and sorrows
For standing out
Amongst the rest
For always giving me your best
I thank you....
Darling, due to your support
I have become an eagle
I fly so high
Because you are
The wind beneath my wings....
Together
You and God
Are the source of my strength
And I'll always be grateful
For you have already given me
The best three and a half years of my life
And I'll forever thank you
For allowing me the privilege
Of becoming your wife
I am truly honoured and proud
To be your wife -
What more can I say now
Than thank you
And to declare it
Through these words
In front of all our family and friends
I hope this shows my sincerity
And how seriously committed
I am to us

"This poem is a dedication to my husband Andrew on our wedding day 18th November, 1995. I thank him for all the joys, laughter, sorrow and tears - he has been through it all with me....He has picked me up and helped me to fly above it all, giving me the strength....and I will be eternally grateful.
Andrew ~ the wind beneath my wings."
