Peter (for eulogy)
Peter, an innocent man-child
This is goodbye
We have joy for you
Though sorrow for us
Your child-like ways we shall miss
But now you are glorified
Filled with love and happiness
Sharing Eternity with Jesus
And our mother ~
Our love for you is endless
Your memory will live forever
In our hearts you will always dwell ~
Goodbye Peter
Thanks for teaching us
The true worth of a person.

"I wrote this poem, with a little help from my father with a couple of lines, to deliver in a Eulogy at my brother Peter's funeral. Based upon my first poem entitled "Peter", I wrote some words that expressed Peter, our sorrow and what he taught us. The perfect words for a Eulogy to him. At the funeral the priest based his message on this poem. I remember feeling regret that my father didn't want to credit the poem to me in the Order of Sevice or within the funeral service."
