Midnight Freedom

Breathe in breathe out
Slowly and deeply
Calm me, feel the peace
In the midnight hour
Alone and free to be the real me
Write what I like
Let the expression flow
Let the tension leave me
As I meditate and lift me
Out of this despair
Start to care
See hope
Let go of the negativity
Belief in me increases
As anger subsides
Love grows
In the midnight hour
There is no fear
Anymore
Not like in my childhood
As I become real
Little Elizabeth is revealed
Let the abuse die
Into a faded memory
As she comes alive
Midnight freedom, I smile
Till morning light
And the fight to stay true
Revealed, beautiful
Becomes a struggle
As I'm scared to, in front of you.
