Come with me and journey into
the realm of my world ~ to see it through my eyes ~ the eyes of my soul....and
the way I see my soul when I write, I break every grammar, spelling and
punctuation rule there is. I don't follow the "X" amount of lines per stanza/paragraph
rule, and half my poems don't even rhyme, though I do believe they at least
flow. I believe in freedom of speech and I don't allow rules to restrict
me. I see my writings as a poetic diary of my life's feelings. I
write about everything, from romance to current issues of child abuse,
suicide, crime and pieces of reflection and inspiration. If what I write
moves one person to action or to rethink their values my job/mission is
complete.
One day I'd like to publish a few books and then eventually release my autobiograpy which would be based on personal triumphs and trials. Dealing with the cards life deals out, building character, remaining positive, overcoming all. If this book helps one person overcome a difficult situation then again my job/mission is complete. I don't write to make money, though I know it sounds like a cliche, I write to satisfy myself, convey a message and hopefully make a positive difference in this world. My poetry is the window to my soul, so come and see the world from my eyes. Finally, I would like to dedicate this website to all of those who believe in me and my talent: First and foremost, God; my husband Andrew, who is my best friend and sounding board, for all of my writing and ideas; my brothers David and Frank, who always encourage me with my writing; Uncle Ian and Auntie Margaret, who believe in my talent; Nana, who's always loved and accepted me unconditionally; my best friend Debbi, who is a wise teacher and whom I love like a sister; the memory of my parents Arthur and Claire, who always taught me to follow my dreams and be happy; and of course, my web builder and dear friend Christina. |
