Death of a Marriage

Death of a Marriage
Time heals they say every pain
From a scratched knee
To a broken heart
But time will never heal
The love I still feel for you today
I can't go on knowing that you're gone
Never to return in any way
We were meant to be married
Till death do us part
I never thought it could end so fast
I still look at the dress
I was to wear that day
But to have it turn
Into a dress of death
Of heartache and pain
The killing of our love
Is too much to take
No length of time
Will make my heart
Stop flowing with pain
It will not stop the anger -
Oh how could such a day turn out this way?
It was supposed to be my most memorable day
Happy and gay -
It was memorable
But of torture and pain
The truck which skidded to save a boy's life
Didn't see the white Mercedes
Which you were in
On your way to our supposedly memorable day
Not to turn up to the church on time
To be too late
Yet too early to the grave
The grave which you're in now
As I place my bouquet
The bouquet I was to use that day
Down on the ground
On top of your body,
But don't worry darling
For I shall be with you very soon
Sooner than you think
I will also be early for the grave
Because by your side I want to lay
Like I was supposed to on that special wedding night
Which was to be our's
Because I know time will never
Heal my wound
So I'm making my life end
To be only with you.
