This is where we live in Herzliya Pituach. One of our balconies is just to the left of the blue and white awning. That will be your balcony if you visit us! The window with the closed shutters is the safe room and computer room where I write all this junk. .You can see the entrance to our front door underneath.
Well, it's not really our beach, but it's where we go to the beach. If you look just left of center you can see two small guys standing in the parking lot. Stairs descend to the beach from there. You can see the resort hotels in the distance. On the shoreline you can see a capsized ship. The fence is to keep people away due to danger of landslides. This picture was taken from Apollonia, an old Roman fortress and later a crusader fortress. You can see some brick on the near left. The Romans made glass at Apollonia and there are pieces of Roman glass all over. Not long after this was taken, Apollonia underwent its first archeological excavation. I haven't been back since. This is a short walk from our condo, which is named Apollonia Gardens.
Here are a couple of pictures from an office party we had at a local park. Most the people in the pictures work with Elizabeth except for the guy in the plaid shirt. Thats the ambassador. It was definitely an opportunity for some serious, world-class shmoozing. Below is where we played musical chairs. It was a hoot! The woman in the dark blue couldn't stop laughing. Missing is a picture of a guy who put about half a can of charcoal starter on his brickets and then had a really memorable eruption. Also missing is the drinking contest (water drinking!), where two teams lined up, each member with a cup of water. Each had to drink the cup, but couldn't start until the person in front finished and then put the cup upside down on his own head, Our team won because we didn't drink. We just turned the cup upside down on our heads. We got wet, but hey, we won!
