| Hello everyone! Thanks for stopping by my page. Here is some more information about me. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| My name is Beth, and I'm from Kentucky. I've been married since 2000, I'm a teacher, and I'm a member of Rice Station Christian Church in Irvine. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| I graduated from Estill County High School in Irvine, Kentucky, in 1988. After high school I moved nearby to Richmond to attend Eastern Kentucky University, where I earned a B.A. in English (teaching) with a minor in philosophy in May of 1993. After some time off, I began graduate school at EKU. In May 1997, I earned a M.A. in English (American and British literature). In the summer of 2004 I became a National Writing Project fellow. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| I have been a teacher since 1993. I was lucky enough to get a job in my home town right after I graduated! I've taught English in all grades between 6 and 12, and I was the coach of the academic team for 5 years. This year I am teaching language arts to 7th graders, and I am the webmaster of the school web site. Our current school opened in August 1998. | In my spare time--which I don't have much of--I enjoy reading, scrapbooking, making cross stitch pictures, working with computers, watching movies, listening to music, and spending time with my husband. I have a dog, Gene, and lots of goldfish & tropical fish. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| I have pretty varied musical tastes, but it's all in the rock family somehow! Since my husband plays country music, I'm getting more used to it, too. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Irvine is a small town on the banks of the Kentucky River in east-central Kentucky. We're located between the mountains to the east and the bluegrass area to the west. Although we're in a small town, we are within a few hours' drive of larger cities like Lexington & Louisville, Kentucky, and Cincinnati, Ohio. Irvine is home to the Mountain Mushroom Festival that takes place the last weekend of April. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| This is me with my husband Chad. We met in April of 1999 at my church. We had our first date in April. In December of 1999 we were engaged, and we got married in October of 2000. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| You can go to Chad's Page for more information about him. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Thanks for stopping by my site! I change things frequently, so stop by again sometime soon! | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
