It had been a month since Randy last saw Paula and about 4 days since he last talked to her. He knew that she was staying with a friend and was being very well taken care of. He decided to pay Paula a surprise visit just to see how she was doing. He booked his flight to leave California at 2 p.m. and would arrive in Orlando at 5 p.m. He had his hotel room reserved and a rented car waiting for him.
He packed enough clothes to last him a couple of weeks and he locked up the house and got in the waiting taxi that was going to take him to the airport. 45 minutes later he arrived at the airport, paid the driver and checked his luggage. He headed up to the gate and sat waiting for his flight to be called.
“Now boarding First Class on Flight 75 to Orlando. All passengers sitting in First Class need to please have your ticket and I.D. out and ready to show a flight attendant.”
Randy knew that he would be called next so he got his ticket and I.D. out and made sure he had his carry on luggage ready.
“Now boarding Business Class rows 1 through 20. All passengers sitting in Business Class need to please have your ticket and I.D. out and ready to show a flight attendant.”
Randy got up and headed to the information desk and showed them in I.D. and ticket and walked down the ramp to the waiting airplane. He found his seat and put his things in the overhead compartment and sat down.

Paula shifted her body trying to get comfortable in the doctor’s office. JC, Cynthia and she were all there to find out the sex of the baby and do the other routine stuff. JC was there because he knew it was the right thing to be, after all he believed he was the father, since that’s what Paula had been telling him. Cynthia was there to support JC and she was dubbed the “Lady that help the fat pregnant bitch with simple things like going to the bathroom.” Ok so that’s a long a rather harsh name/title, but that’s what Cynthia saw herself as. JC’s mother said she would stay at the house and work on some stuff for the baby room and then they could all go out to dinner when they got back from the appointment.
“Ms. McCarthy and party…the doctor will see you know. Room 5 at the end of the hall.” The receptionist called over the counter.
Cynthia stood up, as did JC who then helped Paula to stand up. They walked to the room and sat in the chairs in the room. Paula sat on the end of the examining chair/table and tried to get comfortable yet again.
A couple of minutes later, the doctor came in the room and set her clipboard on the table and introduced herself. “Hello, I’m Dr. Rosen and I’ll be the doctor that will be with you the rest of the pregnancy. I am aware of your star status Mr. Chasez and have worked with many famous people.”
“Thank you,” he said
“Now, Ms. McCarthy, today we’ll be finding out the sex of the baby and doing an overall check up for you.” Dr. Rosen sat in a chair next to Paula, “Now Ms. McCarthy…”
“Please, call me Paula.” She smiled
“Ok, Paula…what I’m going to rub some jelly on your stomach and take this transducer and try and find a heart beat then I’ll flip this switch and we’ll be able to see the baby on the screen here.” She explained and pointed to each of the things.
Paula nodded her head and pulled her top up so the jelly could be put on her stomach. They went through with the examine and at the end Dr. Rosen finally told them the news they had waited for quite some time for.
“Now I bet you are excited to know what the sex of the baby is, aren’t you?” Dr. Rosen asked to no one in particular. She flipped the switch on the sonogram machine and moved the transducer around some until a clear picture of the baby could be seen. “It looks like this baby is going to be nice and let us get a clear view of her.”
“D-did you just say her?” JC stammered
“Yes I did Mr. Chasez,” Dr. Rosen said, “This here is a little girl. Congratulations. Would you like a picture?”
Paula and JC nodded their head and the doctor pressed a button on the machine and the picture was printed out. Dr. Rosen handed them to JC and turned off the machine. “It looks like the baby is healthy and you Paula, you are doing just fine. How are you feeling?”
“I’m feeling fine and I’m really glad that I have JC and Cynthia to help me out when I can’t do stuff for myself.”
“Well, you are mighty lucky to have friends like them.” Dr. Rosen smiled.
‘I’m not her friend!’ Cynthia screamed in her head, ‘Why does everyone assume that?!?!’ Cynthia just smiled and nodded her head.

“Ladies and Gentlemen we are about to land at the Orlando International Airport and it’s a balmy 78 degrees out and the time is 5:10 p.m.” The pilot said, “So please fasten your seat belts and return your tray tables and seat backs to their upright positions and it was a pleasure flying with you.”
Randy did as instructed and prepared to get off the plane. Once the plane got to the ramp/gate he waiting until the fasten seatbelt light went off and then he took his off. He stood up, got his carry on bag and began to walk off the plane. He went to baggage claim and got his other suitcase and headed to the car rental center to get his car.
