The night sky hasn't cleared any, so it's hard to say the exact time.. it's past midnight you're sure, just not by how much.

(411) Saeda: "Where are you all off to?" Saeda's voice comes from the backroom as she returns from the same way she left, this time with two others in tow.

(411) Saeda: Saeda smirks, "Being mistaken for myself apparently... I found our wayward mouse..."

(411) Saeda: She gestures to a small boy of no more than four years of age and hair the same color as Midge's fur.

(401) Bribri: The two following her is Kadus (who you're all at least somewhat familiar with) currently not in uniform.. and a brown haired child with a few odd white stripes going through it in a small robe who peps up "hey guys!"

(401) Bribri: Midge peps up "At least we weren't the only ones~" noting the fact the others seem to remeber the world as it is.

(417) Bane: *shakes his head while he continues to scratch his butt* "Need me some ale" *looks at everyone again* "Yep, need some ale" *turns around punks his maul down and leans on the handle listening in
(401) Bribri: KAdus looks to them ".. well I of course reconize Talen Dras... but.. I imagin you're not the Talen Dras 'I' know of ar eyou?"
(411) Saeda: Saeda nods to Midge with a slight grin, "Why else would they be milling about an abandoned house together?"

(411) Saeda: "No... sadly not, but I did discover the King here is named 'Aldon'..." Saeda furrows her brow, "Could they be the same?"

(410) Melius: "it';s entirely possible, Talen is a Lord, Bane is king"
(411) Saeda: "Oi..." Saeda frowns, "I almost feel left out... what of Gizzen?"
(410) Melius: "No clue, I left him at a tavern, not relaizing teh gravity of the situation"
(420) Talen: (this sux, people are dragging me into their broken up relationships)

(401) Bribri: Kadus casts a few divination spells obviously trying to find out what happend here as he speaks ".. we can't assume the king is your aldon just yet.. there's more then one Aldon in the realms... and it's not as if we could just walk up and ask him anyway."
(417) Bane: "I'm not no bloody King, me brother is, at least the coweard used to be"
(411) Saeda: Saeda glances towards Kadus with a rather impassive look, "We did do a bit of investigating of sorts... to satisfy Kad's curiousity anyhow, but in the process there was one thing we discovered that... bothered me."
(410) Melius: "oh, and what is that?"
(411) Saeda: "Kad here and Midge still share a broken link... I don't know much about that sort of thing, but it seems to me that since 'this' Kad has a different familiar, they shouldn't have such a thing, no?" she looks curiously from Kadus back to Melius.
(417) Bane: "Huh?"
(417) Bane: "You wanna do that one more time lass?"
(410) Melius: "That does seem....odd"
(417) Bane: "Cause me head isn't hurting enough"
(411) Saeda: "I'm just repeating what I heard," Saeda chuckles at Bane's look, obviously uncertain as well.
** (410) Melius ponders that for a while **

(411) Saeda: "I was hoping you might be able to shed some light on the subject, it's certainly not my cup of tea..." Saeda frowns at Melius.

(411) Saeda: Saeda chortles softly at Bane, but obviously still looks a bit worried about everything going on.

(401) Bribri: Kadus finishes his divinations "... this enitre building radiates with magic.... but the auras a fading one.. whatever spell that cased you all to switch places I guess.."
(411) Saeda: "And turned a mouse into a boy?" Saeda frowns at Midge.
(410) Melius: "the only way that coudl happen, in my opinion, would be if all the changes that have taken place took place at the same instant as 'our' choice took place"

(410) Melius: "Bane, by my best guess, this spell changed a choice or event in each of our lives that changed something, or undid something, or raised the status of one's life"
(410) Melius: "it's seemed o tmake talen's life better, midge's, perhaps saeda's, and not really sure about you or myself or cy. and it has made aldon's life better if he is in fact our aldon"
(417) Bane: "Bah, then why.....there was no choice by me that was changed.......(gets a distant look and in an uncharacteristicly soft, caring voice)...."bah, me father chose me." (just as quickly back to gruff) "Well, what are to do now?"
(411) Saeda: Saeda just shrugs helplessly.
(417) Bane: "Well let's figure that one out now. Talen, you seeming to be a lord now, so go ask to see the king. And we'll be done with what we can do"
(401) Bribri: ".. from where I stand I thought the spell was a simple planeshift. You traded places with your alternates in this realm.. or thats what I and Saeda devised"
(410) Melius: "but it has to be something in the cards... Bane, don't you see, just because you didnt' make the choice, that was probably the defininf choice in your life. you became a fur trader because he didnt' pick you in our normal life, but in this he did pick you"
(417) Bane: "Bah, for that m atter, I can request an audience with my fellow King, though it seems I'm the king of nothing and no one with the destruction of me clan."
(410) Melius: "or it could be that, but there seems to be too many changes for it to be a simple plane shift..."
(401) Bribri: "though I use the word 'simple' sparingly, the idea of planeshifting to an alternate timeline is rather out there.."
(411) Saeda: "Would that cause that broken link between you and Midge?" Saeda asks Kadus with an arched eyebrow, "Or Midge becomming a boy?"
(401) Bribri: "... no.. it.. shouldn't of" Kadus says one hand on his chin

(420) Talen: "Wonderful, more questions come with the new answers"
(417) Bane: "Too many questions, let's get some answers. we need to be holing up for the night and go visit our "new" king in the morning, and not take no for an answer"

(420) Talen: "Well... I seem to have a wel known face around here so we can't just stay anywhere. And my 'estate' wouldn't be that bad I guess"

(401) Bribri: The servant leads you all down a hall to the left, appearentlyt he guest rooms are indeed, on the first floor. Eventualy you come to what looks to be a very large wide hall, more of a room really. On the far side of the room are two large windows showing a clear fview of the beutifull guarden , a sea of green the flowers there already starting to bloom. The room has many seats, couches, chairs, and a large table in the center, plenty of room for the lords 'guests' to lounge about, and talk. Either wall is lined with doors, Six of which are open on the right side., the others closed (no surprised there)

whispering to Saeda, Not much a night gown of sorts is about it, they kinda expected you to bring your own clothes by the looks of it (as most noble guests tend to)
(411) Saeda (whispering): Assumed as much, but I figured I'd ask, as noted earlier I did ring the servant bell for Midge if you missed it.

(411) Saeda: Saeda mutters something about him being far less noisy as a mouse before she throws on her tunic as a makeshift night gown and heads into the main guest area, obviously unable to sleep.

whispering to Melius, "Regardless Melius, you must learn what caused this.. if there is any evidance of these cards left in your world find it.. or get the cards and reverse their effect... and then find a way to destroy them if you can... No one god or mortal should have control over the hands of fate.. that is osmething we're all binded to"

(420) Talen (whispering): "This may be the new me, and I don't mean to upset you with this, but lets just change her name tell her she can keep her job if she doesn't breath a word about it. Truthfully I don't think she should be punished for what the others have done if she had no part." *walks over to her(if she's sitting) kneels down so he can be face to face level "I am sorry for worring you and I'm sorry for the things I may put you through but just bear with it, if any harm should befall us becuase of me I promise you that you will be safe from it. Names to me mean little if you sacrifice your morals for them" *with that he stands* "If there is nothing else I must make sure everything got settled with my guests"

Though.. the other gods of the world might not be so keen about any 'changes' try to keep a low profile.. if they become aware you quest to change the world back to what it was, they might make moves to stop you."

whispering to Talen, She scoffs loudly ".. bah..... fine She can 'stay' but she'll not be cleaning any of my rooms, let her tend to your foolish guests... better she clean for her own blood"
** (417) Bane smiles while sleeping as saliva streams out of his mouth **
(420) Talen (whispering): "Fine, well if that is all I will be off" *and exits the room with one last good night before leaving and attempts to find a servant*
whispering to Melius, "But a word of warning Melius.. yoru life in this world is not one of magic.. no it's much diffrent indeed.. and if the wrong person reconizes you.. the end result might be disastorous.. be on guard" And with that he closes the book, the library vanishes and you're back in the bed
(411) Saeda: Saeda curls up and falls asleep on one of the couches as Midge digs into his third tray of cookies, her mind still in a disarray from the day's events.
(410) Melius (whispering): M gets up visibly shaken, looks around, then goes to see fi anyone is in teh gathering area\
whispering to Talen, It doesn't take you long to find one, they're all over the place! what looks to be a butler or sorts
** (410) Melius peaks out into the hallway, and seeing Saeda asleep, decides against waking her and tries to return to bed **

(401) Bribri: Midge ifinaly stops as he feels kindof sick, appearently boys can't eat as much as mice.
(401) Bribri: "Wha... ow.. darnit I barely ate any yet.. bah!"

(401) Bribri: Talen shows up to the guest quarters to find everyone already gone to bed for the night, Saeda having fallen asleep on one of the couches in the main room. And midge looking rather displeased at himself "OK maybe being a boy ISNT that great.. ah well"
(420) Talen (whispering): "anyway its your job right, be happy you're not just standing around doing nothing" *at this he chuckles playingly *
** (420) Talen gets one of the servants to get a blanket for snuffles and is off to find his own bed... may take a while **
(401) Bribri: Right then, shall we move onto the morning, or save that for next weak since Cy had to bail?

(401) Bribri: Right then, the next morning the clouds covering the sky are gone, and Kadus is enjoying a cup of tea looking out the large window in the main room. Saeda is the first one to awake.. mostly because Couches aren't all that comfterble.
(411) Saeda: Saeda wraps the blanket around herself with a rather weary look as she arises, wondering how it got there, and her mind still taking time to catch up after everything that happened the night before.
(401) Bribri: A half elf girl, apparently another maid, Is also there, and Midge is already up and explaining her to her the benfits of being a mouse (appearently their are many) causing her to giggle. On the table is a tray with more tea cups and the pot (no doubt where Kadus got his)
(401) Bribri: (the rest of you can wake up and show up as you see fit :p)
(420) Talen (whispering): when i get up, assuming i found the room ok, i get the servants to get me some morning tea and i change into something...not noble flashy and such but being a noble i know i have some nice clothes
(411) Saeda: "Morning," she manages a rather weak smile at Kadus as she glumly picks up a tea cup and joins him, sipping slowly at the hot liquid.
** (410) Melius wakes upa bit groggy, gets his things together, and solemnly walks out to the main area **

whispering to Talen, You do, your 'wife' is sleeping like a rock. Snoring at that. You wonder what tthe other you must of been thinking

(401) Bribri: The window gives a rather clear view of the City of Yelltrin as well... and to say the least.. it doesn't look quite as you remeber... the buildings much larger.. and most importantly the Huge Onix black castle in the center of it all which is easily visible from here which seems to shine from the morning sun.
(411) Saeda: "Dream?" Saeda asks with a yawn as she takes another drink.
(410) Melius: "well, it was a dream, and it wasn't a dream. I believe I met Boccob last ngiht"
(411) Saeda: Saeda arches an eyebrow with a rather incredulous look, "Oh?"
(401) Bribri: "... goodmroning" Kadus says with a weak smile of his own ".... Boccob, the god you serve under?.. I hope he had some usefull things to say"
(410) Melius: "yes, quite a few. From what I could agther, we aren't in a different plane, existence itself has been changed by some magic, what we both seemed ot agree was contained in the deck of cards"
(420) Talen: "Well I'm sorry. I had a better night I'd say" *takesa sip of his tea and notices the half-elf maid*
(401) Bribri: Kadus is quiet for a few moments as he hears that "... I.. was starting to think that as well.. but.. if that's true.. this world.. is a faulse one then?"
whispering to Talen, She might no longer have any fancy noble makeup, or a fancy noble dress but you reconize Clara in an instant
(411) Saeda: Saeda narrows her eyes at Melius, "That doesn't make any sense... why weren't we changed too if that was the case?"
(410) Melius: "It depends on your definition of false. This is the world, according to the wishes of one person and the magic he holds. Even the gods seem to be affected by this magic. My only guess is he can choose who is affected adn not affected. Or since we weere close to the cards, there's an area of immunity during the effect"
(420) Talen: "Is your name Clara? I heard my wife had an up roar over you, but don't take it personally"
(420) Talen: (to the maid)
(401) Bribri: "The Wishes of one.. do you mean this Aldon? I can understand him making himself king but..." Kadus hesitates ".. why.. the other changes..?"
(410) Melius: "I was told that my life is not one of magic here, adn if someone recognizes me, it coudl be distastrous, as well as the fact that some of the gods here may not want the world to return to what it was, so we must be 'discreet'""
(411) Saeda: "Then..." Saeda drifts off setting her tea cup down, but only finishes her sentence in silence as she gazes out the window.

(410) Melius: "well, my first guess is Aldon, as he bough tthe cards, and is the king. as fo rthe changes, perhaps as he friends he wanted to help us out and make things "better" for us?"

(411) Saeda: "Better?" Saeda muses, obviously lost in thought until she turns towards Kadus asking curiously, "What do you know of Keldrath, what has become of him?"
(410) Melius: "i've been given permission by the lord of books to use his library, to try and find out what has happened, adn how it can be revered, if it can be. Boccob also asked me to destroy the cards if/when we can, as no god or mortal shoudl have this much power
(401) Bribri: Kadus is pretty quiet for a bit looking out the window.. his thoughts elsewhere obviously before he finaly answers Saedas question ".. Keldrath..? I know of him.. one of the best blades around.... I belive he just got a promotion.. though I dont know the man personaly"
(411) Saeda: "Better..." Saeda says absently as she looks back towards the window.
(410) Melius: "saeda, it depends on your definition of better..."
(420) Talen: "If that's true then he should have asked. I'm reminded this very moment of how I wish things hadn't changed even if they were for the 'better' "
(411) Saeda: She doesn't appear to hear his words, lost in thought.
(401) Bribri: ".. what would a cobbler know of magical artifacts that could od... this?"
(411) Saeda: "I want to see her..." Saeda mumbles before turning to Kadus and speaking more clearly, "I want to see my mother, where is she?"
(410) Melius: "I believe he said he bought them from a gnome. However, how he could afford this is unclear, unless he lied or the gnome was unaware of their powers... or this is all some elaborate illusion"
(410) Melius: "but with my 'dream' i doubt this is an illusion"
(401) Bribri: Midge walk sup to Melius "I know the exact way to prove it's not an illusion!"
(401) Bribri: He suddenly shouts ".. I disbelive!" And closes his eyes.. and then opens them looking around ".. nope not an illusion"
(420) Talen: "You said that some of the gods didn't want it to go back right? Perhaps one of them gave them to him so as to change the world but not be held accountable."
(410) Melius: "and what's that?"
(411) Saeda: "My mother Kadus..." Saeda reaches across the table and grabs his shirt sleeve rather tightly, "Where is she?"
(410) Melius: "A possibility... but in theory the gods that were created from thie cards may not have been in existence before the shift, adn were created to 'fill in the holes' if you were"
(420) Talen: "Its just an idea. Perhaps one of the pre-existing gods got more powerful becuase of the change...I don't know"
(401) Bribri: "... In the house you were raised in, your parents never left it"
(410) Melius: "perhaps, i'm not saying you're wrong, just trying ot make sense of it all"
(411) Saeda: Saeda springs out of her chair, any previous signs of sleepiness long since gone as she hurries off to her room and gets more properly dressed.

whispering to Saeda, It's.. a bit hard finding you way through the streets.. but you DO spot your old house.. it's almost exactly as you remeber it.. a few changes of course.. but they look more like repairs done over the years as opose to changes from the world. A nice little guarden is out front, and the door is currently closed .
(401) Bribri: (no you didn't, but to be fair:midge WAS a mouse, the consept of wearing clothes is new to him anyway)
(411) Saeda (whispering): Saeda stops for a moment, checking over herself, her mind racing with possible excuses for her appearance.
(410) Melius: "stay out of trouble...." M asks one of the servants politely if they could direct him to the library or the Lord of Books temple
(411) Saeda (whispering): Somewhat timidly she steps forward and knocks on the door, seemingly oblivious of Kadus finally catching up to her.

(401) Bribri: "Teaching the boy bad manners that women, That's where he gets that mouth of his" She says turning around "come in come in, if he isn't going to enjoy them you may as well"
(411) Saeda: Saeda looks grateful at not having to make another excuse, and steps inside, the nostalgia nearly overwhelming her as she stumbles a bit.
(401) Bribri: much of the furnature is the same.. though thre's a few new additions.. not to mention little ordments you mother has collected over the years. She heads to the kitchen "you two just make yourself comfterble!"
(401) Bribri: Kadus coughs ".. well just a short visit we really need to be going..." once again she inrupts him "short visit nothing! so you can run back to that library and leave my daughter home and lonely? You're staying here thankyou"
(401) Bribri: home alone*
(411) Saeda: Saeda settles down, resting her sword against the wall and instead looking to all the various knicknacks that she does remember, obviously trying not to cry as she moves from one memory to another.
(401) Bribri: Kadus on the other hand is reminded on why he never visits the old hag of a mother in law... he however does notice Saedas discomfert but... stays silent.
(411) Saeda: "How is father doing?" Saeda manages to ask in a slightly breathless voice that she covers over with a cough.
(401) Bribri: "Same as always dear, stuborn, grumpy, and always working, like some other men that I wont mention." She says with a somewhat joketive tone "...ah.. these came out fine... "
(411) Saeda: "Some things never change," Saeda says somewhat distantly as her eyes wander the room.
(411) Saeda: "Do you need a hand mother?" Saeda finally asks trying not to sound too hopeful as her gaze return to the present.
(401) Bribri: "no no.. I'm fine.. " finaly comes out with a small plate with three blueberry muffins "just came out of the oven so they're a little hot. The ncie little girl next door picked the blueberrys, real angel that one."
(411) Saeda: Saeda happily takes one of the muffins, not appearing entirely bothered by the heat as she nibbles on it.
(411) Saeda: "It is a shame we didn't bring Midge," Saeda finally agrees with a slight smile.
(401) Bribri: Kadus takes one "..... better he stay home after last nights disaster..."
(411) Saeda: "I suppose that's true..." Saeda frowns, not elaborating further.
(401) Bribri: your mother sits down in one of the chairs ".. so tell me whats been going on in your life, you never visit so I never heard. What'd Mistif did midgin get into this time:?"
(411) Saeda: "Well I've been taking those classes..." Saeda improvises, using muffin bites to give herself time to think, "As for the Midgelet his sweet tooth got him in trouble again."
(401) Bribri: "... not to mention his hate of baths" Kadus says geting more used to the act "he snuck out last night before hand, and managed to get into the baker near our house and ate a platefull of cookies.. we were looking for him almost all night..."
(401) Bribri: bakery*
(411) Saeda: Saeda simply nods in agreement, still working on her muffin.
(411) Saeda: "I really should thank Monty for his help..." she remember suddenly, "The two of you were out most of the night."
(401) Bribri: This causes the old women to smile "ohh that little raskle, always geting into things like that, ah... you better teach him right before he gets any older though.. dont want him geting bad habbits
(411) Saeda: "Hence no muffins for him," Saeda smiles, all sign of worry or sadness from before seemingly vanished, "No matter how delicious they may be."
(401) Bribri: Kadus nods "not to mention being stuck in his room for the next three days... as hyperactive as he is that's punishment enough"
(411) Saeda: Saeda chortles softly, "Hence why we needed some time away... he's quite a handful sometimes."
(401) Bribri: "If you ever want a break just leave little Migin with me for a day or two, I'd like to see more of him"
(411) Saeda: "I dare say you'd spoil him mother," Saeda grins, "But once he's learned his lesson I'll bring him over some time, might help mellow him out a bit spending time here."
(401) Bribri: "ohhh~ I wouldn't spoil him TOO much..." shes laughs "but that's what grandparents are for she adds"
(401) Bribri: Kadus having finished off his muffin stands up "... thanks for the muffins but we really should be going"
(411) Saeda: Saeda looks rather disappointed but at the same time strangely doesn't fight it, "Sadly we must or I'll be late for my class... thank you for the muffins mother, they were delicious."
(401) Bribri: "oh leaving a poor old women alone again? Promice me you'll visit with little midgin next time"
(411) Saeda: "I promise..." Saeda manages a smile, but something about her face hints at some guilt or inner turmoil she is feeling.
(411) Saeda: Retrieving her blade, she give her mother a quick kiss on the cheek and waits for Kadus to lead the way.
(401) Bribri: Kadus is first to leave "..another time, we will bring MIdge next time.." He says heading out the door..
(401) Bribri: Just as you step out your mother asks quite bluntly ".. are you at least going to tell me what's wrong before you go?"
(411) Saeda: Saeda stops for a moment, not wanting to lie further, but not certain what to say, "I'll... I'll talk with you about it later mother."
(401) Bribri: she sighs ".. you live your own life now... but tha tdoesn't mean your mother doesn't worry about you. " she gives you a hug "You better tell me every word of it" before heading back inside.
(411) Saeda: Saeda smiles, lingering outside the house for a moment before finally walking up along side Kadus.
(411) Saeda: "You're right," she states simply, "I can't live that lie... and I don't know what sort of truth I might be able to create from it... but what other choice do I have? I can't destroy everything that defined my life all over again..."
(401) Bribri: Kadus pauses having been about to say an arugment only to find you now agreeing with him "... put yourself in my shoes... this world is all that I remeber... to find out everything that defines 'me' is just some magicly created fantasy world..."
(401) Bribri: Kadus shakes his head ".. but..... if the world WAs changed, setting it right is what should be done, making excuses for ourselves wont that change.."
(401) Bribri: that*
(401) Bribri: change that* sorry haha
(411) Saeda: Saeda walks quietly for a moment, before looking up again with an unreadable expression, "Do you love her? The other me I mean..."
(401) Bribri: Kadus turns away, walking down the street ".... no more excuses... we should get to the library... the others are there by now..." He stops for a second "... and Yes.. I love her, but you're not her" and he starts walking again.
(411) Saeda: Saeda follows along behind silently, her mind once again confused and uncertain.
(401) Bribri: And there we go
