Summary: Elizabeth returns to Port Charles after five and a half years away with a surprise for
Ric.
Author�s Note: Okay, This is assuming that Elizabeth finds out all about Ric and his agenda after their date to the art museum on the night they made love for the first time. She left town without so much as a good-bye to anyone. She hasn�t kept in contact with anyone, and she changed her last name to Hardy so no one could find her.

�Mommy, you look beautiful.� Erica told Elizabeth who�d just finished getting ready for Lucky
and Courtney�s wedding.
�Thank you, baby.� Elizabeth looked at herself in the mirror. She didn�t look bad. She was
wearing a simple pink sundress that ended right above her knees, pink strappy shoes, and her hair
was falling around her face. Simple, but cute, she thought to herself.
�Daddy�s going to love it.� Erica gave a mischievous grin to her mother. Elizabeth laughed. That
was the plan. She figured she owed Ric beautiful for all of the crap she�d been putting him
through. The other day he�d dropped by unexpectantly to see if Erica wanted to go to the park.
Elizabeth hid in the bathroom. She wasn�t sure why she did it. She loves Ric. She wants to be
with him and she knows this now. But it was an impulse. When she saw his car, she took cover.
But today, she�d let him know exactly how she felt. She�d tell him she loved him and wanted to be
with him forever. The three of them, her, Ric, and Erica, couldn�t finally be a family.
Elizabeth turned around to face Audrey who was lying in bed. �What do you think, Grandma. Is it
enough?�
�For Ric?� Audrey looked her up and down before smiling. �It�s you, isn�t it?�
Elizabeth laughed. She was right. Ric didn�t care about her clothes. He loved her. �Well then, I
guess I�d better be going.� She gave them both kisses. �See you later.�

�Would you just stop that?� Lucky smacked Ric�s hand away from his arm. He was trying to help
the groom with his sleeves. Ric would think he�d never worn a tux before.
�Trying to help, but fine. You do it.� Ric retreated to the back of the room. He was starting to get
as nervous as Lucky, so he thought it would be best to stay away from the group. Because when
he was nervous, he got snippy, for lack of a better word that didn�t sound feminine.
�What�s wrong with you?� Sonny sat beside his brother.
�Nothing�s wrong with me.� Ric started to count backwards from one hundred to calm his nerves.
100, 99, 98, 97�it wasn�t working!
�She�ll be here.�
�That�s kind of what I�m afraid of.� Ric laughed. Elizabeth was coming. He�d gotten a call from
Audrey telling him as much. But if she did come, then he had to do this, and he was scared of
what she might say.
�She loves you Ric.� Sonny patted him on the shoulder. �Of course she�ll want to marry you.�

�I�m getting married. I�m getting married.� Courtney stated over and over as she looked into the
mirror.
�Haha, yeah.� Carly stood behind her. �Don�t you start getting cold feet now.�
�No,� Courtney said quickly. �It�s not cold feet. It�s just surreal, isn�t it? I�ve been married
before, but this time feels so�different.�
�Because you�re not marrying AJ Quartermaine. That one wasn�t all that special for me either.�
Carly laughed.
�Even though I�ve technically only been married once, I�ve had lots of weddings. And I�ll tell you,
the jitters don�t go away until you say �I do.�� Brenda warned. �Of course when the groom
doesn�t show, well, then you go crazy and have a nervous breakdown.� She sent a glare Carly�s
way.
�Hey, not my fault. Just because I�m married to him doesn�t mean I agree with what he did.�
Carly smiled. �Of course it really worked out great for me.�
�You don�t think Lucky would leave me at the altar do you?� Courtney started to breathe heavy.
�Look what you�ve done.� Carly started rubbing Courtney�s shoulders. �No, he�s not going to
leave you at the altar. Lucky loves you. He�s probably more nervous that you�re going to wake up
and realize he�s not for you or something. You know how paranoid my cousin gets.�
�Knock, knock.� The women turned their heads toward the door. Bobbie and Penny came in.
�Look who we found.� They stepped out of the way and Elizabeth entered.
�Hey.� She said shyly.
Courtney ran over to her. �Hey.� She gave her a hug. �I�m so glad you made it.�
�Me, too.� Elizabeth handed Courtney a wrapped box. �Here�s your gift. I didn�t know where to
put it.�
�Right here works fine.� Carly took it from her and put it on a table filled with primping
equipment.
�Well, since we�ve never met, and no one else seems to be doing the introduction,� Brenda glared
at her friends, before walking to Elizabeth and extending her hand. �I�m Brenda Barrett. And you
are Elizabeth Webber.�
Elizabeth smiled and shook her hand. �It�s nice to meet you.�
�And it�s nice to finally meet the girl who stole the Ricster�s heart so many years ago.� Brenda
gave her a wink.
�Brenda!� Carly screamed at her one-time enemy, and now she was starting to remember why.
�You really need to show a little tact.�
�What? It�s what we were all thinking.� Brenda looked back at Elizabeth who was blushing. �So,
how do you feel about our Mr. Reliable Attorney?�
Elizabeth smiled, the blush still heavy on her cheeks. �Um�I�ve always loved Ric, and I�m not
going to hurt him�again.�
�That�s good.� Brenda smiled at her.
�Well, I�m going to take off. Just thought I�d drop that by.� Elizabeth looked at Courtney. �You
look beautiful by the way.�
Courtney smiled at her. �Thank you, Elizabeth.�
Elizabeth gave a small wave before exiting. The other woman looked at each other.
Brenda broke the silence. �I like her. I give her my seal of approval on marrying Ric!�
