'THE' PHOTO
This photo was taken at The Sangamon County Fair in New Berlin, Illinois (Springfield, IL) on June 15, 2000
For you photograhically inclined, this was taken around dusk using Kodak 400 MAX.
No flash (I never use a flash.)  Manual settings of f 5.6 on my 200mm zoom lens
(its biggest appature setting) and a shutter speed set to 1/250.

I have a Pentax K1000, which is about 16 years old and COMPLETELY MANUAL.

I took about a dozen show's worth of CRAP photos and was going to invest $400
in a new TOTALLY AUTOMATIC camera, when I decided to take a $32
photography course at my local community college before I made such a big investment.  With 6 one-night classes under my belt and a few rules in my head, I set out.

Needless to say, I have NOTHING but good things to say for the education one can
obtain at a community college.
Limited Edition Version
For indoor shows, I currently am having a wild love affair with Fuji 800 Superia.
The blues and greens are so much more vivid.  Kodak traditionally is better with reds,
oranges and yellows, but I like the blue/green hues better.
