June 2nd, 1997

Dear Diary,                                 

I went to school as usual today. I just really hate my life, it’s just so screwed up. Just once would love for everything to be absolutely perfect, but we all know that will never happen. I also had a chorus concert tonight, I guess it went alright.

Dear Diary,

Bible study was absolutely horrible after school today, nothing like bad happened. It just took us like 30 minutes to get started and then even after we did get started Patty and Mandy kept talking and laughing which really annoyed me.

Dear Diary,

I didn’t go to school today because my Mom stayed home from her job so she let me skip. I also started my period for the month. Tomorrow at school we have field day, which I hate! I wouldn’t mind it so much if I didn’t have to participate in an event, but could just watch, but I am forced to actually participate in something. I just have a bad experience with field day when I was in sixth grade in a jump roping competition I tripped and fell in front of majority of the sixth grade pretty embarrassing!

June 5th, 1997

Dear Diary,

I didn’t go to school again today, but this time it was due to my period because unfortunately it runs on my Mom’s side of the family for the female’s to have horrible cramps during that time. Plus since today was field day it isn’t like I really missed much in any of my classes.

Dear Diary,

I went to field day at the school my Mom teaches at Mountville Elementary with her today or at least I tried to. I kind of got sick and I like threw up in the front outside next to the doorway. A girl Bethany I go to school with saw me and went to go get my Mom. Then my Mom got someone to watch her class real quick while she drove me home since she couldn’t stay with me because it was too short of notice for her to get someone to substitute for her for the rest of the day. It didn’t take her long to drive me home either since we live like less than a mile away from the school she works at.

Dear Diary,

I feel completely fine today, I didn’t go to church this morning though. After next week school will be over man, I can’t believe my first year at Callaway is close to an end. I guess this is just another chapter in my life coming to a close.

Dear Diary,

I am so disappointed with myself...okay here’s the thing: The only people that get to go to honors day are the one’s that are on the honor roll meaning they have straight A’s or have A’s and B’s. I made honor roll all year except for a C on my midterm which is like a final exam which aren’t supposed to count because they are just supposed to prepare us for taking finals in high school. So if those don’t count and that is the only thing I have a C on shouldn’t I be on the honor roll??

Dear Diary,

Today went okay, tomorrow most of our teachers are taking up our books, except for Coach Thompson. I must say I’m going to miss all of my teachers believe it or not. I’m going to miss everything, even though I didn’t really make any life long friends.

I went to church tonight and guess what I found out! Dan is going to shave his head at the end of the year which will be Friday. My gosh, he’s gonna look so ugly, but I guess that will be his problem.

Dear Diary,

I didn’t go to school today, and I’m not really worried about it because all we probably did was watch movies all day and maybe clean out our lockers. I’m not going to Red’s tomorrow night because my Mom is not letting me stay late enough.

Dear Diary,

I went to Red’s tonight because my Mom and I got over our fight. See supposedly tonight they were going to have all night skate which means it would be from 7 p.m. until 7 a.m. and she wasn’t going to let me stay the whole night and it would be incredibly embarrassing for her to pick me up early in front of all my friends. But as it turns out they changed it to just he regular time 7 p.m. until 11 p.m.

Dear Diary,

I went to the Vacation Bible School (VBS) kick off thing with my Mom. It was pretty fun, I got to ride a horse. We left early though because we were real tired and we didn’t really like what they were having to eat.

Dear Diary,

I went to church this morning as usual. I’ve got VBS all next week 6:30p.m. until 9 p.m. it starts tomorrow. I hope it will be fun, I especially hope it will be better than last year!

Today I went to VBS, it was alright I guess. I met this girl there too, that I have met before awhile back through an old friend, Carol, who I am not really friends with anymore.

Dear Diary,

Amy, Mary and I planned to go to the movies on Thursday to say goodbye to Mary because she is moving this weekend. Her Mom had told her she would be able to come back and visit every weekend, but she went back on her word.

Dear Diary,

I went to VBS today it was fun. I asked Louise today if she would be able to come to the beach with me during our family vacation. We’re going to Panama City, Florida; her Mom said she could if they don’t have anything planned for the 30th, since we will be gone June 30th-July 5th. I really hope she will be able to go!!

Dear Diary,

I’m going to Red’s tomorrow night I hope I have fun and I hope that Allan and/or D.J. are there since I like them both a lot. We didn’t go to the movies today because Mary wasn’t able to go and she also isn’t able to go to Red’s tomorrow night which sucks.

Dear Diary,

            I went to Red’s tonight and stayed until 11 pm, I had fun.  Guess who was there?? Allan.  I was way too flirty with him though.  I mean I think I made it obvious that I like him by the way I was acting toward him…big mistake.  Of course unless he starts to like me…but I doubt it.

Dear Diary,

            I found out great news today; Louise can come to the beach with me!! She is coming down on the 29th and we’re leaving on the 30th and staying until the 5th of July. I can’t wait to see her though it will be awesome.

Dear Diary,

            I went to church as normal routine today; it was fun I guess.  I did get some good news though, I found out that Amy could spend the night with me on Tuesday.  I can’t wait because since Amy is not allowed to watch rated R movies we are going to watch Scream at my house so her parents won’t know.

Dear Diary,

            I still can’t believe it is actually summer, I have no idea why though.  It may be because I haven’t been to the beach yet…I dunno.  I didn’t really do much today though just hung around the house.

            Amy came over real late tonight like around 9:30-10:00 pm because she came right after softball practice.  We had fun though, plus I was excited because she got to see our new dog Maggie.

Dear Diary,

            We didn’t go to church today because apparently my Mom and Dad were way too tired.  I know that isn’t a decent excuse but that is the truth…I guess.  I can’t wait until next Sunday though because Louise is coming then.

Dear Diary,

            I am so completely bored right now…maybe because I have absolutely nothing to do.  Anyways, our new lab, Maggie has been a complete mess here lately, but you can’t stay mad at her for very long because of how absolutely adorable and silly she is.

Dear Diary,

            My Mom got paid today so we went to Columbus and ate at Red Lobster.  I got the fried shrimp and Lemonade to drink along with a salad and Ranch dressing.  Then we went to the mall there and I got my new Hanson CD.  I also got some clothes (hopefully the start of a new wardrobe).  Then we went to get our hair cut, I got mine cut back up to my shoulders.

Dear Diary,

            I can’t believe that on Monday we’re leaving to go to the beach.  I hope that we have the greatest time ever.  Louise is coming sometime tomorrow night.  I really hope I don’t get sunburned all that bad though, since I get burned very easily.

Dear Diary,

            I went to church today it was alright.  After church we went over to Dan’s house in the afternoon sometime to drop off my rabbit, Snowball.  He is going to keep and take care of her while we are at the beach.  Then later Louise got here and I was quite happy to see her.

Dear Diary,

            We left and dropped Maggie off at the kennel and then were on our way.  We took Charlie and Tizzy with us.  Louise, my Mom and I rode in the van, while my Dad and Grandma rode in the truck.
