"It is the Chair of Peter that I will consult, for from it I do derive that faith which is the food of my soul. I will search for this precious pearl, heeding not the vast expanse of sea and land which I must pass over. Where the body is, there shall the eagles be gathered together. It is now in the west that the Sun of justice rises. I ask the Victim of salvation from the priest, and from the shepherd the protection of the sheep. On that rock I know the Church is built. He that eats the Lamb in any house but this, is profane. He that is not in Noah's ark, shall perish in the waters of the deluge. I know not Vitalis, I reject Meletius, I pass by Paulinus. He that gathers not with thee, Damasus, scatters; for he that is not of Christ is of Antichrist" St. Hieronymus (St. Jerome) to Pope St. Damasus

It is said that God is Love, that He accepts us unconditionally. But that is but only half a truth. Is it not also true that He is a jealous God, who hates every sin, and hates us as in our identity as a sinner? That is why, if we die in mortal sin, in a state of unrepentant sinfulness, He will condemn us to Hellfire for eternity.
It is true that God is love, that He loves us passionately and earnestly, and seeks our salvation. It is also true however, that God's love is not "unconditional" but that His love is conditional on our corresponding to His Love and becoming His faithful, loving children, becoming as the littlest ones in His Kingdom.
There are several things wrong with the Traditionalist movement. Perhaps, the greatest is that it is shot through (thoroughly infiltrated) with double agents, people who claim to be of a Catholic sense, but who work for the enemy, in order to ambush souls. Such obvious double agents include men such as Marcel Lefebvre, Michel Guerard des Lauriers, Terence Fulham, Thomas Sebastian, and members of their parties or factions, such as Lefebvrism, Sedeprivationism, etc. .
Add to these charlatans a more obvious bunch of charlatans such as the very many men (and sometime women) who claim to be "prophets" and to have been constituted Pope by means of some or the other pretended private revelation.
And, as if this was not bad enough, we also have such even more obvious bunch of charlatans, outright Satanists such as the congenital occultist Lucian Pulvermacher, Antipope Pius XIII, etc.
Other men, such as Hutton Gibson, etc., and the vast majority of Sedevacantists seem more sincere, but are nevertheless misguided. It is evident that they began bravely, but that, somewhere along the way, they lost their courage, or made compromises. It is also very possible that they are victims of erroneous beliefs, quasi-heretics and even full heretics, at times, pulling short of the full doctrine of the Papacy.
The greatest problem with "Traditionalism" is the cowardice and fear of "Trads" in refusing to apply the principle of the Papacy. Everybody makes lipservice, claiming to love and esteem the Papacy, but when it comes to practical measures, they instinctively recoil in fear and loathing, revealing their true inner spirit.
The Vileness of the Ratking
Benedict XVI, Address to the La Sapienza University in Rome, January 17, 2008:
"humanity's wisdom the wisdom of the great religious traditions should be valued as a heritage that cannot be cast with impunity into the dust-bin of the history of ideas. Let us go back to our initial question. The Pope speaks as the representative of a community of believers in which a particular wisdom about life has evolved in the course of the centuries of its existence... Various things said by theologians in the course of history, or even adopted in practice by ecclesiastical authorities, have been shown by history to be false, and today make us feel ashamed.” (Emphasis in the original) |
This is, in fact, the Protestant Social Culture of the World acting up. Too many have unknowingly, unconsciously but
culpably internalized it that they react as Protestants purely out of instinct, not by deliberate thought. They cannot conceive the "slavery" of submitting to and being ruled by a real, flesh and blood Pope, even as they romantize the Papacy.
Part of this Protestant attitude is the Exaggerated Individualism of Protestantism. We all want to be our own gods, our own Popes. We esteem ourselves too much to even consider with any kind of equanimity the notion of we ourselves actually submitting to a king or to a Pope. We are all too cozy and comfortable being our own one-man republics and Dictators-for-life, our own Infallible Magisteriums.
As Individuals, we also cannot but think of "What's in it for us?" This is in contrast to the Catholic attitude, which is to constantly ask ourselves, "What is our obligation to the God of Israel, Christ Jesus? What would Jesus want of us? How do we realize His will for us?"
As Individuals, therefore, we ask, "What can this Papal Claimant do for me?" If the terms on offer are more attractive with this one, we go with him, in so far as it is convenient to us, and we obtain privileges, but not otherwise. We refuse to accept the Papal Claimant for himself, as Pope, for being Pope.
As Romantic, but not Practical Papists, we can acknowledge the fact that Benedict IX was foisted by his father on the Papacy at the age of about 18 years or perhaps younger, and we have no problem acknowledging him as being a lawful and valid pope. Likewise, we have no problem with many other problematic persons who became pope in history. The keyword is "history". What we cannot accept is an insignificant person becoming Pope. That galls us. Aren't we better persons or candidates to be Pope, both spiritually and in a worldly sense? Aren't we cleverer, richer, holier, more learned, more famous, prettier, etc., etc. than these unknown persons? Therefore we resent them. How dare they rob us of our liberty as one-man self-Popes? How dare they impose themselves on us, laying claim to our obeisance and submission?
Another strange attitude is our practical, if unstated, notion that we can wrap our minds around the notion of a vicious anti-Catholic heretic and apostate as being "Catholic Pope" but are appalled at the suggestion that a Catholic may be lawful Pope!
All these thoughts are false thoughts. They are un-Christian thoughts. They make us enemies of Christ.
If we must serve Christ and attain to Heaven, we must think as Christ wants us to think. It is time for us to get practical and root out of our minds Protestant attitudes and spirits inculcated into our minds and beings, and it is time for us to inculcate instead the true and proper Catholic attitude, a Catholic animus, the
Sensus Catholicus.
There should be no confusion in the mind of any true and sincere Catholic (or wannabe Catholic) that there is only one true Pope in this day and time, and he is Pope Michael I, formerly David Allen Bawden. It is our duty, not to somebody called David Bawden, but to Christ, that we should acknowledge and submit to the Holy Father Pope Michael I. This is our obedience to Christ. Anything else is but chicanery and the playing of charades with Christ, a profitless game that ends only with one being consigned for eternity to hellfire.
Let us be obedient to God, not for the sake of men or for the sake of a mere man, but for the sake of Christ, as our duty and obligation.
Let us fulfill our duty before God by rallying faithfully and courageously around our Holy Father, and obeying his instructions as a unified army waging war for God against His enemies. The time for infantile games and deceit is long gone.
Kind regards,

Prayer for the Restoration of the Mass
©H.H. Pope Michael I, Jan. 15, 2008
The prophet Daniel prophesied, "and in the half of the week the victim and the sacrifice shall fail: and there shall be in the temple the abomination of desolation" (Daniel ix, 27). "And strength was given him against the continual sacrifice, because of sins: and truth shall be cast down on the ground" (Daniel viii, 12). These terrible prophecies have come to pass. We long to again participate in the unbloody sacrifice of the Mass and receive Thy Body and Blood in Holy Communion. We promise to learn the truths of the Faith, which have been cast down on the ground and to turn away from sin, which has given Antichrist power against the continual sacrifice and to return to Thee, as Isaias bids us. We promise with the help of Thy grace to do all in our power to remove any obstacle in ourselves to the worthy reception of Thy Sacred Body and Blood in the Most Holy Eucharist. Until this holy day comes, when our desire can be fulfilled in participation at the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, We desire to receive Thee spiritually, who cannot receive Thee sacramentally. Amen.
