This retreat is looking at our gifts and how they work together with each other and in our service. We also look (depending on time) at the differences of gifts in children and our relationships because of diversity of talents and giftedness.
This retreat is focused on how we are all inter-dependent and how we each influence each other. It does not matter where God has placed us, we are there to glorify Him and encourage each other in our service. The ladies who change the diapers in the Nursery are as important in their service as the leaders.
At all retreats, I strive to facilitate your time. I do have a lively sense of humor so we will laugh a lot. I do want it to be a time worth while for those who share their lives for that time. I have had many life experiences and can share that indeed God does see us through, even the tough times. I have Scripture that we can either study together as a larger group or we can break up into smaller groups and come back together to summarize. Usually at a Friday night opening, I feel we need to be flexible and more relaxed since most folks have had a hectic time getting there. We can have ice-breakers, music and worship, I usually introduce the week-end and the theme....then I end with a "fun" character. Mrs. Noah has become quite popular for that.
Saturday can begin many ways....but usually it's breakfast. Then Music is a good start. We go into a Bible Study time...but I know you need a break. Coffee and Breaks....Then we come back for more Bible Study, either in a group or in smaller groups. Before lunch we will basically end our study time. After lunch we have different things to accomplish and I will end with a character of your choice. Hopefully we will go home encouraged, uplifted, and ready to serve Jesus!
