The Tongue is a Fire
Beloved Shoshanna

Lord, I pray that you will cover this message with the blood of Jesus. Lord give it to me as you did when you spoke to me as I did my dishes tonight. In the name of Jesus, amen.

The Lord spoke to me about evil speaking, I had recently come across the scriptures twice in one day and felt correction in regards to my tongue and how I should speak about others in the body of Christ or out, but tonight I clearly knew it was in regards to speaking to the body of Christ.

There comes a time when we need to examine our hearts and conscious as to whether we have been speaking evil of others, even dignitaries, governments or leaders.

Yes, we must bring correction where it is needed, and in regards to the body of Christ we must warn them of the dangers ahead because of false teaching that abounds.

But we should never speak evil about individuals, this is clearly against the word, backbiting, gossip, slander, often comes from a root of bitterness or envy and self seeking.

Jam 3:6 And the tongue is a fire: the world of iniquity among our members is the tongue, which defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the wheel of nature, and is set on fire by hell. Jam 3:7 For every kind of beasts and birds, of creeping things and things in the sea, is tamed, and hath been tamed by mankind. Jam 3:8 But the tongue can no man tame; it is a restless evil, it is full of deadly poison. Jam 3:9 Therewith bless we the Lord and Father; and therewith curse we men, who are made after the likeness of God:

I am feeling such a grief inside for those caught up in and deceived by the devil. The tongue is a fire, and it is set afire by hell. That means that the tongue can be used for the devils evil.
Don't think that anger and rage and evil speaking is acceptable to God, it is a lie to think so, you can explain away your behavior by excuses, so did Adam and Eve, but you will be held accountable for what you speak in the day of judgement.

1Pe 3:10 For, He that would love life, And see good days, Let him refrain his tongue from evil, And his lips that they speak no guile:

God gave us prayer to petition God to deal with issues we face that are from the devil, we are not to handle things in our own ways.

What you sow you shall reap, if you sow to your flesh, you will reap corruption, if you sow to the spirit you reap eternal life.

Beloved we are living in a time of darkness that is coming upon the whole world, we must walk in holiness and show ourself approved unto God, guard your tongue it is an unruly evil.

Jam 3:10 out of the same mouth cometh forth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be.

Jam 3:11 Doth the fountain send forth from the same opening sweet water and bitter?

Jam 3:12 Can a fig tree, my brethren, yield olives, or a vine figs? Neither can salt water yield sweet.

Jam 3:13 Who is wise and understanding among you? let him show by his good life his works in meekness of wisdom.

Jam 3:14 But if ye have bitter jealousy and faction in your heart, glory not and lie not against the truth.

Jam 3:15 This wisdom is not a wisdom that cometh down from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish.

Jam 3:16 For where jealousy and faction are, there is confusion and every vile deed.

Jam 3:17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, easy to be entreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without variance, without hypocrisy.

Jam 3:18 And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace for them that make peace.

Brothers and sisters, we must guard our tongues, if we want to to be pleasing to the Lord and without spot or wrinkle at His appearing, we must think before we speak. We are to bless and not curse others, to encourage exhort and edify others. Are we speaking toward their edification?

Words of wisdom, the wisdom from above is pure and then peaceful. We need to speak forth as our Lord has shown us in the word, if he wanted us to speak to one another in anger or malice He would have told us so, but instead He has told us to put away evil speaking, and anger.

Jam 4:11 Speak not one against another, brethren. He that speaketh against a brother, or judgeth his brother, speaketh against the law, and judgeth the law: but if thou judgest the law, thou art not a doer of the law, but a judge.

Do not lie against the truth.

It is in the heart the Lord wants purity, for everything arises from our hearts and condemns us. If our heart does not condemn us, we are a perfect man.

The Lord wants us to not use ministry to hit someone over the head because of error, but to lift them up to the Father so that He can do the correcting, and bringing the person in to line with His will.

The words out of our mouth reveal our hearts, and God is our judge, we will be judged for the words of our mouth.

Mat 12:35 The good man out of his good treasure bringeth forth good things: and the evil man out of his evil treasure bringeth forth evil things.

Mat 12:36 And I say unto you, that every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment. Mat 12:37 For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.

Oh Lord, have mercy upon us, help us not to speak a word against another, nor speak useless words redeeming the time, let us come before You with a clean heart. Let this be our cry!

Death and life are in the power of the tongue. Lord let us not send curses like arrows into others, because they came against us, but let us bless, and not curse.

If we have bitterness, unforgiveness an offense in our hearts we will have much strife in our life. A root of bitterness opens the door for satan to come right in, and make himself at home. If there is strife and all kinds of evil in your life, know that you opened the door to satan, with a root of bitterness.

Offense is a spirit, many people do not know that and are influenced by the spirit of offense, you see this in the church and it abounds. It seems that this would not be so, but first comes bitterness then the tongue lashes out and then the spirit of offense divides one against the other. Generally offense is proceeded by the spirit of pride, which also abounds.

We are to put these things far away from us, the Lord will take control of our tongue if we will let Him, we are in a time where we need to be praying daily. "Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable oh, Lord".

Do not just shake these words off, but take them to heart, for the Lord warns about things for our own good. If we judge ourself we will not be judged.

I strongly urge your to hide the word in your heart, for soon we will not have bibles to strengthen us, for the word is alive and powerful, and the prophets will be silent, and there will indeed be a famine of the word.

Above all brethren have a fervent love for your brethren. 1Pe 4:8 above all things being fervent in your love among yourselves; for love covereth a multitude of sins:

Brother or sister if this is your sin, and the Spirit is speaking to you, confess it today to the Father, He is faithful to forgive and to cleanse you of all sin.

Lord, I come again to you in prayer, and I ask that You would keep our tongue from evil, let us speak grace to those that hear us, Lord we pray our heart will be purified of all evil that we do not spew curses by our tongue that we would use it to bless , and not curse. Lord, may we be in peace and unity of spirit one to another, in Yahshua's name.
I pray Lord blessing upon each of the hearers of this word, that it would bring light to their soul, and peace to their heart, I pray this is in our wonderful Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ, Yashua the holy one of Israel. May His love and peace surround you this day, bringing His grace to abound. Lord You are so wonderful, we praise Your most wonderful name. Amen
