JOURNEY OF LOVE: Part 3. Filling The Void

I was meditating on the Lord the other night, really appreciating the peace he has given me, and thanking Him that I never feel lonely, or empty any more.
I had been looking at things that are a type of Christ, and I became very fully aware of how people have been created with a huge vacuum, that only Christ can fill. We have been created to have the emptiness that we all have tried to fill in our lives in some form or fashion.
Possessions, people, family, relationships, work, dreams, that perfect spouse that make us happy for ever after.

The problem with this picture is that these things never make you happy, oh they might for a little while, but that vacuum cannot be filled by anyone or anything except for Jesus Christ.
People spend their lives seeking these things, and they grow old and they look back at their life and wonder, what was my purpose? Why am I so unhappy and so empty and alone? Even with people around them, they feel alone. How do I know these things? Because I have been there and done that.
Some people spend their lives seeking to be fulfilled in some way, and when they finally have all they think they need to have, they find that they are still lonely, still empty, because the one thing is missing and that is Jesus Christ.

Now I want you to understand here that I am not talking about church, many people when they know they need God, will go to church and think that this must be it, but going to church has nothing to do with it, no it is a real relationship with the Lord, and if you do not have it, you will be empty and alone, because in spite of what you have been told, it isn't about church. It is about relationship with Christ. oh that can be a comfort to have others pray and encourage you, but you will not be fulfilled. You might feel good for awhile in the Presence of God, but that is not the same as with a real relationship with Jesus.
You will continue to feel empty inside and lacking something. That is the way you have been made, for a purpose. There is one thing needful and that is a real, living daily relationship with the living God. Until you truly have Jesus Christ, Yeshua, in your heart, you will never be happy and you will be continually looking for love in all the wrong places. Not in your spouse, not in your family, not in your church, not in what you have, not in anything outside yourself, so you may as well stop looking outward and look inward, because Jesus Christ is waiting for you right now, to begin a real abiding relationship with Him. Unless you do that, you will never be happy, you will always be seeking and coming home empty handed.

It isn't until you lose everything, that everything becomes dung to you to be able to KNOW CHRIST AND THE POWER OF HIS RESURRECTION. it is only until you know rejection, abandonment, and loss of everything that you find the true gift of Jesus Christ, that you know true peace and joy.

Some people spend their whole life trying to achieve fame and fortune, they cheat, manipulate and scheme to get all they want in hopes of reaching that point of finally being happy, and feeling fulfilled, only to reach it and feel cheated, empty and alone.
For one thing a camel cannot go through the eye of a needle because of the load on his back. That is why the Lord said to the rich man to sell all that he had and give to the poor and come and follow Him. The reason being is that people who are rich find it deplorable to have to give it up for the prize of truly knowing and following Christ. Because we cannot follow Christ and mammon at the same time, either we will love one and hate the other. it comes between our relationship with the Lord. I know there will be people who write and take exception with me, but I didn't write the bible and it is true every jot and title.

There are people who have been abandoned by a mate, divorced, cheated on or rejected, and for them it is the end of the world, I have been there I know how a person feels, but that is the whole point of this message. Which is that, a spouse cannot , I repeat, CANNOT EVER FILL THAT VOID.
Marriages can never be happy unless Jesus Christ is the one to fill the heart not the mate. I am not saying that you are not to love your mate or your mate not to love you, I am saying too many marriages are focused on each other, and the Lord will not have that, He is a jealous God and for this very reason the marriage cannot support the weight of one mate upon the other. Once romance leaves then comes dissatisfaction, and when words are spoken that cannot be taken back a spirit of offense comes in, as well as unforgiveness, and one mate thinks it is time to move on to another, but that is not the answer, and that is certainly not God's will. The whole reason for the problem is that Jesus Christ is not the center and focus of their lives. You are trying to fill a void only Jesus Christ, Yeshua can fill.
People get old and sick and they die, children go on and have their own lives sometimes without us. We cannot put our whole life into people, because we will be greatly disappointed. Now I am not saying you don't invest in others lives, because that would not be correct, because we are called to invest in others lives, but they are not to be our whole focus. Jesus is.

You can lose everything, like Job, but if you have Jesus, really have Jesus, joy will remain, that fulfillment remains because nothing else can take it's place. Do not put all your eggs in the wrong basket, because when they fall they will all shatter, and so will your life.

Some people eat to fill the void, some are sex addicts, shopping addicts, gambling, addicts, some drink or use drugs, yet they will never ever be happy, they will never get rid of the void, or find satisfaction.

Remember how satan offered Jesus the whole world if he would fall down and worship him? Well that is what satan is doing today to the world, including us, he dangles all kinds of temptations and distractions before your nose, knowing full well there is a void, he knows exactly what will draw you away from the truth.
Satan comes to kill steal and destroy, you need to understand all the things you put before Christ are put there by satan, knowing full well that soon or later some way, they will kill you, steal from you, steal your life or destroy you.. But there is hope because Jesus came to give us life and MORE ABUNDANT LIFE. He is love, and this is the love that has been missing in your life, it is the love that you have been seeking all your life, that your family didn't give you, your parents, your children, or your spouse. He is that ONE TRUE LOVE that nothing and no one can take away from you.
I pray that through this message the Holy Spirit will open your blind eyes to the truth, that it is real life that you lack, that abundant life, only Jesus Christ offers. Love, joy, Peace, and fulfillment. This is why Jesus Christ said in the book of Revelations that we need eye salve, the world and the devil has blinded our eyes to the truth.
There is only one way to find paradise, it is through the door, and Jesus Christ is the door, he is the only way. All who try and get in some other way are thieves and robbers, they have been deceived, by the great deceiver.
Jesus is the way, the only Way, the only Truth, and the only LIFE.

The truth is that to find life, you have to lose your life. You will never find fulfillment by trying to meet all your needs yourself or from some other source. it is when you give up trying, to live for yourself and crucify the self life, that self that wants everything its own way, and surrender your will to the Lord. This surrender is the way to find real life, true love, and let Jesus Christ alone fill you with His life.
It is like finding that pearl of great price. Matt 13:46. Jesus Christ is that priceless pearl.
He has said if we seek we shall find, if we knock and keep on knocking the door shall be opened to you. When we find that pearl of great price, we will be willing to sell all that we have for the joy of knowing Christ and to be known of Him, and we will have what money cannot buy. LOVE.

The Journey Of Love: Part 2. Road Blocks to Love

For those who did not read the first part to this subject of love and how it came to being I shall speak a little about it again.
I had a dream that I was to write a book on "Love", I was in a room with two computers and I sat down to type at the first one and it was the publishers desk and I got up and sat at the other one and began to type.
A few days later I was meditating on Ephesians 3:17-20, the Lord came upon me so powerfully as I was reading those scriptures.
And since then when I go to spend time with the Lord, with pen and paper at hand, I begin to write it just comes, I do not think about what I am writing my pen just writes. I am not given the ability to write, it is the Lord Himself that writes through me, it is called inspired writing.
I believe the Lord wants us to open our hearts to love, as I have done so, hile beginning this journey amazing things have been happening around me.
We have begun a journey of love, really a journey TO love because it isn't something that happens over night, and the road is filled with road blocks that we must overcome. Today I am sharing about some of the roadblocks and how to overcome them.

There are many things that block love, but the main ones are our mind will and emotions coming from the soul or SELF.

Our mind is always going, always thinking, usually critically about things and other people, often just negative thinking. Nothing short circuits LOVE quicker than negative thoughts.
Many people can't still their minds and just WAIT BEFORE THE LORD, it takes practice but oh the joy and love that comes forth from a stilled mind and emotions, it is really worth the effort.

The Lord said to me, "It is your thoughts which keep you from continually abiding in Me".
When we abide in Him (live in Him) we produce much fruit (John 15:5) but when we are not abiding in him, we are producing what comes from flesh. We stop walking in the Spirit, love, joy, peace, atience, goodness, long suffering, and instead get into offense, strife, bitterness, criticism, complaining, finger pointing, judging and gossip.

So it is crucial that we learn to keep our thoughts in check, one way is to write down every thought that comes to you, so you can see just how often you think thoughts that are not of God and producing fruit.

Sit quietly before the Lord, stilling your thoughts, and emotions, just being quiet, gazing into His face. You can send occasional love thoughts to Him or praise but just quiet yourself, do this first thing every day and you will see the difference. Pray without ceasing, because when you are praying your heart and thoughts are turned to God.
We do more self talk rather than conversing with the Lord, so instead of talking to yourself, talk to the Lord who is always there listening, but He wants to have a relationship with us, instead of hearing us talk to our self.
Most of our "self" talk is all about self, it revolves around what "I" want, everything that revolves around satisfying self and our ego. To walk in love self must be relinquished and told no, and to follow the Lord's will. Not my will but thine be done. Say YES, TO THE LORD.
When Jesus was in the garden praying, He said; "Father if it be thy will, take this cup from me, never the less, not My will but thine be done."
This was His relinquishing of "self", His will. And everytime we say "Yes" to the Father no matter how painful, no matter how much we will suffer and are suffering through a trial that He has allowed, if we will say YES, TO THE FATHER. The greater grace is given to us, just as it was given to Yeshua.
Even if it means losing all the support of family and friends just as He did, when all abandoned Him.
But when WE DO NOT say "Yes, Father", the self begins to complain, and scheme, manipulate to somehow get out of the suffering that we must go through to learn patience and faith.
This is self IN control instead of Spirit, and self is in the way of the flow of love and a deep and abiding relationship with the Lord.

The emotions if they are not channeled into the flow of love, can cause the thoughts to continually race and it becomes increasingly difficult to stay focused on the Lord and in abiding.

One of my favorite verses is Isaiah 26:3 Where it says, He will keep us inperfect peace whose mind is stayed on Him, because we trust Him.

About 10 years ago while living in San Francisco, I was to take a plane to San Diego for a meeting and there were high winds and turbulence and the flights were being canceled because the planes were so late and it was difficult flying conditions. There were long line of people waiting to hopefully get on a plane, and I began to speak that scripture and keep my mind focused on Him, and out of the blue, I heard my name called and I went to the front of the line, and was put on a plane, and praised the Lord, as I was to be in San Diego the next morning. Then I got on and really began speaking forth that scripture, I kept my mind on Him the whole time, even through the turbulence, the plane bumping, bouncing and tipping, but I reached my destination on the wings of a dove, safe and sound and in PEACE.
It really works, our problem is we do not do what the word says, it is awesome what the Lord does when
we trust Him and His word!
The only way we can be in perfect peace is to totally focus our attention on Him, to quiet our thoughts and our emotions, and as the word says,"Be still and KNOW that I am God."

Allowing the Holy Spirit of Love to have His way in You by filling you with His love.
By allowing Christ to dwell richly in You, by faith rooted and grounded in His love, only then will you be able to comprehend with all the saints, what is the breadth, the length the depth and the height of that love
and to KNOW THE LOVE OF CHRIST, which passes (way) beyond knowledge, that we might be filled with ALL His fullness.
He IS able to do exceedingly abundantly above all we can ask or think, according to the power that works in us. That power is Christ within us the hope of glory.

DO YOU SEE IT? he lives in us, and everything we can possibly need is within us, all that we can ask or even think, it is all available to us, if we fully belong to him, and our thoughts are focused on him, and our life is lived for HIM. This is all available when we stop the self talk, slowing down our thoughts and emotions.
The Father wants to give good gifts to His children, but our destructive habits prevent that flow of love, they are roadblocks to His gifts. and THEY STOP THE FLOW OF LOVE , THE FULLNESS WE NEED TO LOVE OTHERS.

JOURNEY OF LOVE: Part 1. Without Love We Are Nothing

The Lord is doing a new thing! I am very excited, anticipating all that the Lord God is doing and is going to do in our lives.
I had an amazing time with the Lord a few days ago, it started when I was reading the scriptures: Ephesians 3:17-20. As I meditated on those scriptures the Lord came upon me so powerfully, and I knew that this was a confirmation that He wants me to focus on love. I had a dream a few days previous about writing a book on love. I went into a room where there was a long desk with two computers, and I sat down at the first one, but I realized this was the publishers desk, and that I was to write a book on love, so I got up and went to the other desk and sat down to type.
That was so strange because I had no idea what to write about, I am not a writer, and if He didn't give me what to write, I would be up a creek without a paddle literally. No ability none whatsoever. And then I got these scriptures and began to write as I do when He gives me inspiration, and I have been writing a little every day, but the amazing thing is the changes in me and what is going on around me since I started, because when the Lord teaches us, it does us no good, unless we walk in it. It is not about receiving the knowledge alone but doing what He teaches.

The Lord wants to take us on a journey of love into His kingdom.
There is nothing more powerful and life changing as God's love that comes to us by the Holy Spirit that comes to live in us, when we dwell or abide in God, not only the Holy Spirit but Jesus , (Yeshua) and God (Yahweh Himself). Wow! Isn't that exciting? I know, you already know that, so let me take you further on this journey and let us discover some life changing revelations from the Lord. I am so excited, I am getting ahead of myself here.

Let us first be rooted and grounded in His love, so we need to look at 1st Corinthians 13, the love chapter. I know you have all read this chapter, but did you let it really sink in? Bear with me for a few minutes.

1 Corinthians says that we are NOTHING, without love. It doesn't matter what title we might carry what position in the church, how many pastors or prophets. Guess what, unless you have the LOVE of God in and working in your heart you are nothing. Does that prick your pride a little?

Wow! it says that we can speak with tongues of men and of angels, but if we have not LOVE, we are NOTHING, we can have the gift of prophecy, we can UNDERSTAND all mysteries, and ALL KNOWLEDGE, and faith that you could actually move mountains, yet without LOVE, YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. WOW! You can give all you have to feed the poor and offer your body up as a living sacrifice to be burned, and guess what, if you do not have the LOVE OF GOD OPERATING IN YOU, it is ALL FOR NAUGHT, AND NOT ONLY THAT BUT YOU ARE REALLY OF NO USE TO GOD. Jesus Christ was sent into the world for one purpose. He came to give us the good news that God loves us, that God is love, THAT HE LOVES YOU AND HE LOVES ME. How did Jesus love you and Me? By giving His life, He laid self down on that cross on Calvary.

Through out the whole of the gospels Jesus taught us how to love and to walk in His footsteps, to be true disciples, He wasn't teaching doctrine, nor how to be religious. He was teaching how to walk as He walks, in holiness and LOVE.

We are to be conduits of His love, to pour it out to others, and to win the world with His love, by example was how He walked.
As His disciples we are to be perfectly knit to Him, as ONE, by abiding in Him in His love. It is hard isn't it?
Do you know why? Because there is something blocking the flow of His love. Your self, your thoughts that continue to dwell on self and those negative critical judgmental thoughts that come into our minds through out the day. This blocks our abiding in Him, and the flow of love to others.
We cannot have out thoughts on our self or the world and the Lord at the same time, so our thought life has to change. Isaiah 26:3 says, "I will keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on thee.

As long as self is in control, the Holy Spirit will not pour out love through us and the Lord cannot use us as His vehicle to be a light in the world.

The reason many unbelievers are not won to the Lord is because we have been throwing scriptures and doctrine at them. There is great power in the scriptures to change a life, but I have come to the conclusion that Love is the most powerful force in the universe, the word is love. Nothing softens hearts as love, I know because I worked in the streets with an evangelist team and those that the word only made angry, were melted with God's love. Whether Muslim or homosexual, even the worldly.

Why? Because everyone longs to be loved, to have love touch their life, everyone needs to hear someone loves them. One of the reason that Muslims and others are not won to Christ and why they do not believe in Christianity is because they see so many loveless Christians, that only throw scriptures at them but they are not walking in love or by by what they preach. We must be living examples of God's love so that the world see's Christ in us.
We were not saved just to get our ticket to heaven, never having to give of self, in intimacy, sacrifice, obedience or allowing the Lord to love others through. But we are to live by example, not by what we say, but what we do.

We think we have so much knowledge, our head gets puffed up, but one thing is lacking, KNOWING THE SAVIOR, KNOWING HIS LOVE, BEING FILLED WITH HIS LOVE, SITTING AT HIS FEET AND LETTING HIM FILL YOU WITH ALL THE FULLNESS, WHICH IS LOVE. The ANOINTING is LOVE, EVEN THE POWER OF GOD WORKS BY LOVE, EVERY THING ABOUT THE KINGDOM IS LOVE. We are to sit at the feet of Yeshua soaking in His love, so that we can be pouring it out to others. Walking as He is, in love.

But instead of His purpose and plan being fulfilled what we see is a lot of jealousy and strife, pride and offense to name just a few, and so much self serving and wordliness.

All through the gospels as Jesus (Yeshua) lived by example, ( He only did what the Father told Him to do, he did nothing of Himself, just as we are to be led by the Holy Spirit). He didn't give doctrine, which is really men trying to interpret the scriptures, everyone disagreeing with each other so that everyone is in disunity. He didn't teach about what denomination is the right one either, he taught the parables so that His true disciples were the only ones that truly understood. It didn't take another man to tell you what they meant, they were and are spiritually discerned. All scripture is profitable and it is truth, but doctrine is man made.

The world is so hungry for love, look at the woman at the well who had five husbands, and the last she was not married to. She was hungry for love and was not satisfied, so Jesus offered her water so she would never thirst again, water springing up to everlasting life. She was so excited when she learned who He was, she ran to tell everyone. And what about the woman caught in adultery, she was looking for love in all the wrong places. And when she was completely forgiven for her sins, she was the one that poured forth all that she had on Him. "He who is forgiven much, loves much".

What an awesome responsibility we have to be His conduit of love, but the truth is we all have failed Him. Everyone wants a title or to be known, to be this great preacher, prophet, or teacher but no one wants to do what He has called us to do , what Jesus came here to do, to be His vessel to tell and show the world His love.

The truth is that when His love is perfected in us, everything else will fade away.
LOVE NEVER FAILS, but where there is prophesies they shall fail, where there is tongues they shall cease, where there is knowledge it will vanish away, why because when there is perfect love there is no need for all the rest, LOVE IS ALL THAT IS NEEDED. When I was a child I thought as a child, I understood as a child, but when I became a mature man, I put away childish things. So knowledge, tongues, prophecy, revelation, is all childish compared to LOVE. We are all looking through a glass darkly , but when love is perfected in us, we shall see face to face, our face in His face, because as He is so we will be, in perfect love. So this must be our highest goal as it is His. That is why the purification of our hearts is so very important.

Do you know how many lonely, sick, hungry, rejected, lonely and abandoned people in the world? Yet how many are telling THEM that GOD LOVES THEM, THAT THEY ARE NOT ALONE, THAT HE LOVES THEM MORE THAN CAN POSSIBLY BE EXPRESSED IN OUR OWN FINITE ATTEMPTS?

Do you know how many inmates there are sitting in prison, that never had a visit, or even a letter, from a family member or friend, sometimes for the whole time they are incarcerated?
They were not born to be monsters or criminals as they are called. But were once innocent children at one time, just like we were. They were innocent until they were abused or molested by a relative, or close friend, neglected, abandoned or lived in the wrong neighborhood. Many never ever hearing the words,"I love you." their whole life.
Never learning right from wrong in many cases, some just got in with the wrong crowd, because they didn't had parents at home when they came home from school so they sought out "family" that cared, usually a gang, or just friends that later got into trouble.

Do you know how many orphans and widows around the world who have been left with no parent or spouse because of aids, poverty and disease? it is staggering!
Do you know how many people, mostly children that go to bed every night with nothing in their stomach, not so much as a piece of bread to eat? That is pretty hard to believe in this country with so much waste and stuffed bodies.
These all long for someone to love them or to even care about them, God longs to love them, but he longs to have His children carry that love to them. So many unbelievers ask,"if there is a God, why is their so much death, poverty and disease"? The answer is very clear, We have closed our eyes, we are those He wanted and wants to send to touch their lives with His love, WE CAN START in our own home, and neigborhood.
But because we have failed to know, and to fulfill our true calling, WE ARE NOTHING, and God's purpose is not yet fulfilled in us.
