Living Spring Fellowship had humble beginnings. The Pioneer pastor, Rev Sophia Tan Luang Keng, after many months of praying and seeking, received confirmation of God's direction. With the encouragement and affirmation of many ministers in Christ, Rev Tan took a step of faith by launching out. Hence, Living Spring Fellowship was established in October 1993.
Living Spring Fellowship initially rented two classrooms from a commercial school for worship. Because of the time limitation and our understanding of the lifestyle of Singaporeans, we decided
to have our worship service on Saturday nights at 7.15pm.
With an old karaoke sound system, used overhead projector, used photocopier, a small synthesizer, a few love offerings and a deep trust in and strong devotion to the Lord,
Living Spring Fellowship began her spiritual journey and commenced her mission. Rev Tan together with committed believers whom our faithful God raised up, committed themselves to the call of God, to fulfill what the Lord has called Living Spring Fellowship to be: Living water
flowing out, bringing forth the healing of God, the hope of God and the life of Christ. (Rev 7:17;
Ezek 47:9-10, 12).
By the grace of God and the committement of the believers, Living Spring Fellowship was able to purchase her own sanctuary at Guilin Building in Nov 1994 and moved into her new sanctuary at Citiraya Centre in April 2001. |
