Probably Helsinki's most popular bar, this traditional Irish Bar is open all day and night! During day times just the small downstairs part is open, where Premiership football as well as most sports can be watched.
At nights, both floors are open and the place is always packed! Its very hard to get a seat and theres normally a queue at the bar! Every weekend (and some week nights) there is a live band playing music all night long.
Often has an excellent mix of nationalities, and people dancing and drinking all night, there is also a gambling table (as in most Finnish clubs!)

Located right in the centre of Helsinki (opposite the Central Railway Station), Sports Academy is another of Helsinki's extremely popular drinking holes. This bar is also open almost 24/7 and is especially popular all days on weekends.
As its name suggests, it is THE place in Helsinki to watch sport, mainly English and European football, Ice Hockey and Skiing.
Every Saturday and Sunday afternoon this place is full of Finnish supporters of English footy teams (mainly Newcastle, Man Utd, Chelsea, Arsenal and Spurs).
On nights it becomes more of a less sports orientated bar, and is normally packed to the rafters!
The bar has two floors, and the larger top floor is split between a bar with big screen, and a restautant, where there are still TV Screens in every possible space to watch sport!

The biggest and best pool/snooker bar in Helsinki. It also offers some of the cheapest drinks in the city - usually 3,50eur a beer, between 6pm and 9pm each day a beer is just 2,50eur!!
There are about 15 pool tables and 3 snooker tables as well as a darts board and plenty of seats to sit in and listen to music.
The bar is on Mannerheimintie - the main shopping street of Helsinki. Entrance is free, just a cloakroom charge! (1euro)

Located a little more outside of the City centre than the other bars mentioned here, Mulligans is a traditionally styled Irish Bar, with British drinks and a pool table! A Good atmosphere in this bar, and a nightclub next to it.
Amarillo
Right in the centre, you can either go here to drink, to dance and drink, or to have a meal! One of Helsinki's biggest bars, over two floors, with the nightclub area upstairs. A bar to be seen in Helsinki, age limit of 24.
